    Update .

One interesting point i have asked about tracking so please bear with me while i try to explain.

We have just a eg . Mrs Broke who sees a cash back offer at the largest cash back going say QUIDCO she clears her cookies etc and buys the insurance with say £ 70 cashback , She sits back and waits the times say 6 months , No payment comes she opens several tickets and final told sorry not tracked to Quidco , she tickets back but Quidco stand firm and say the affiliates have tracked this to maybe another cashback company but will not say who. So Mrs Broke down by £ 70 and very upset.

Now the £ 70 been paid by the affiliates to another cashback company lets just make a name up say THE TOLLS cashback company. So the Troll cashback company got the £ 70 and do not pass it on because in effect they have no customer to pass it on to. So what happens to the £70. Maybe it goes in to a suspend account or just extra profit for the Trolls cashback company. Who Knows.

Every one with me so far ????????????

Here's one for you to counter what you are saying. What if Mrs Broke can not count 6 months and enters her ticket in too early because she doesn not understand how to count properly on a calender - Do you think Quidco should entertain her tickets because she can not count properly due to being a bit thick?

doubt you will reply because you never have

I have ticketed Jules at quidco re the meeting .

I have said that we are still awaiting a letter back from the affiliates , they said it was posted last week so i have asked them to fax it to me or email it.

So if it works that way , it must work the revers with Quidco getting paid out for a customers of the Trolls with no end customer to forward it on to.

If quidco are the largest Cashback companiy then it should really even its self out over a period of time .

Or are we saying the Tracking only works againsts Quidco ???????

    Interesting thoughts ????????

The logical assumption especially with insurance is that it would be paid to a comparison site rather than a cashback site after all that would tend to be the first port of call for anyone looking for insurance.

Surely nobody is silly enough to go for something based on the cashback alone when quotes can vary by very large amounts

No, but those of us who know how to read a renewal notice can choose to spend an hour or so getting three quotes via Quidco without touching a comparison site. In my case, having done exactly that, Quidco refused my claim due to 'competing cookies.' Complete ballcocks.

Exactly, so what is to stop Quidco (or any other site) from just pocketing the cash and using the comparison idea to reject??
The cashback has got to be based on the actual sale and NOT on a quote. It needs sorted. Everything is date/time stamped and they know when the actual sale originated.

But no consumer protection regarding a multi-million pound turn-over business???

You are entitled to you point of view obviously, and you must agree with the way cashback sites are currently run.

If cashback sites can't be run properly, then should they be in the cashback business in the first place??

    Lynsey

There is stacks of protection regarding any B2C businesses regardless of size.

I have no issue at all with any of the cashback sites that I have used. And in the last 2 years I have had over £1500 from them.

Well you must be a very lucky person then. Apart from the declined insurance payment, I have minor niggles with Quidco, nevertheless they are still niggles. The latest one seems to be cashback tracking at 0.00. They even managed to 'pay' one of these! My other big gripe with them is that they simply push back payments from month to month without any kind of explanation.

Well for a start she has achieved the honour of Quidco asking her for her choice of venue for a meeting (same offer/honour they make to anyone who wants to visit, read over the posts again), so Quidco must either be worried or believe she is doing something right. Why? they asked me as well (see below) Why has Quidco not just put ruthha on ignore as ruthha has obviously done to yourself?? Who knows?...ask Quidco yourself, perhaps they want to encourage dialogue and not shy away from questions.

Remember Torby, you also had the chance to meet Quidco..........or as ruthha might say, "Are you already there"?? (lol) I didn't feel I had any need, I'm happy what they do is for the benefit of their customer.

Will Quidco honour this meeting of ruthha's choice (prompting a simple answer)?? Again you miss the point completely, imagine a scenario where you want a fruitful discussion take Iraq or Afghanistan, I would assume a suitable venue would be a neutral area with possibly even a white flag.

    Still unanswered:

Open question (prompting a simple answer): what has RUTHHA's campaign achieved so far?

probably something akin to the answers we're getting...nothing...unless someone posts differently

Fenris: smoke and mirrors to avoid answering, seems you've got the bug now as well.

Open question (prompting a simple answer): what has RUTHHA's campaign achieved so far?...anyone....there must be someone out there?

Avoid all you can by whatever excuses you can think of, you will however notice that ALL my questions are relative to the threads in question and the posts others have made,

see what I mean, you can't even ask a relevant question, simply hide behind waffle and join RUTHHA's merry men (or women)...no proof of achievement, no real policy, an unwillingness to face the truth about campaigns, avoiding simple, direct questions like "what has RUTHHA actually achieved?"

People are starting to see through the smokescreens, granted the blind will still follow and perhaps we should make excuses for them.

Perhaps if everyone asked the same, simple question?

Open question (prompting a simple answer): what has RUTHHA's campaign achieved so far?

Nope, not smoke and mirrors, nor avoidance. I asked you several questions you decided not to answer so I followed your lead. If you're so happy with Quidco, why not answer the questions I've asked? Just to reiterate the questions were:

Can you provide proof that Quidco are not holding on to member's money?
Can you provide proof that Quidco does not have the money from the Co-op/MORE TH>N/Sainsbury's Finance?
Can you provide proof of Quidco's annual turnover?
We'd like exact figures of how much profit Quidco made this last quarter, please let us know.

If you expect me to have the answers to your questions, then I expect you to have the answers to the above questions. They're perfectly valid and I'm sure a lot of people reading this thread would like to know the answers. Thank you! :D
