I only asked a simple question, I'm just wondering how effective everything she's done has been...what's the problem in that?I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j

Personally I think it would be correct for "both sides" to be represented at any "meeting" and for minutes to be taken, makes sense to me to avoid any issues later.
To be fair it was Quidco's request to meet at ruthha's place of choice, so any avoidance to this request once accepted by ruthha would have to come from Quidco.
Ruthha obviously wants to ask serious questions, so why not be properly represented??
TBH, I believe Quidco has called ruthha's bluff and it has backfired, they fully underestimated her ability and are now frightened.
Maybe Martin could mediate - who knows??
Lynsey
Lynsey, come on, are you for real here? what has she acheived in real terms? how many people has she managed to get money for from Quidco?
Maybe she should be commended for trying but the way she has treated some people on here and paraded herself as some sort of money back crusader is actually quite laughable.
People on here are not taking her seriously due to the way she has conducted herself. Nobody to blame but herself for that I'm afraid.
Quidco would no more be scared of her abilities than Greggs would sue geordieracer for getting too many free steak slices!!!
I hope you get any outstanding money you are owed from Quidco Lynsey, but please don't give ruthha any more of a hero complex than she already has...

I hope you get any outstanding money you are owed from Quidco Lynsey,
No outstanding money from Quidco from me and it will be a long time before they ever get the chance to "owe" me money again.
Only a tenner for my MIL and as a family that's it. Pretty much sick of constant hollow promises and how low they could go to block other sites from offering a better service rather than trying to sort their own issues.
What I do know though is that they react once pressured fully and properly - though true Quidcoites and indeed Quidco themselves like to assume it's by all the hard work involved for the members (lol).
Quiidco has called ruthha's bluff this time, make no doubt - lets see who "bottles it".

To summarise:
1) neutral gound to meet for discussion seems a good idea...discuss
2) Ruthha's campaign doesn't appear to have helped anyone get money "owed" from Quidco... or can we find out on here?...post if Ruthha has helped you...or did it come from Quidco in due course anyway
3) Ruthha seems to be only interested in building her status as a campaigner
4) Others (not trolls) like sheep follow her without proof or evidence anything is being achieved
5) Greggs slices are very tasty
6) you would not contravine any part of the Data Protection Act by saying how many people have got cashback from Quidco through your help that wouldn't have got it anyway...so stop hiding, let people know how effective you are in doing this, or is it like it was at the start...all smoke and mirrors.
7) Ruthha says "how much i have helped people get back or not get back" there's the problem, in the absence of an answer (or anyone posting here to say you have got money back from them) your campaign has been nothing other than a source of merriment for the rest of us on here with all your promises and threats of how you will sort out Quidco.
8) suggestion for Ruthha, email everyone on your list (that you have helped get money from quidco) and urge them to come on here and post in support of your campaign, can't wait to see the numbers expressed as a percentage of the 650,000 membership of Quidco.
9) just ignore these questions and let the rest of the thread see that you, Fenris or any other of your apologists choose not to respond/answer and prove what you are claiming...who was it said, "if you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice". If that's the case why don't you answer, what have you got to hide?I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j

Anyone care to post' with proof that Ruthha has genuinely helped with getting quidco money...say in the last 6 months?0

On the other hand, there seem to be a few members who go out of their way to make ruthha in particular look daft. Now, you can either agree or disagree with her, but the constant harassment of her on these forums is getting a bit wearing now. Some members keep asking the same questions over and over and seem not to be interested in anything other than generally making ruthha look a berk.:rotfl:
When i first joined this thread i was pointing out to Ruthha that she was wrong to complain to trading standards as she was wrong with her counting of 6 months from the inception of her insurance that she got through Quidco. I then pointed out how to count 6 months from the inception date. She didnt like that and averted anything else that i was asking adn then resorted to calling me a troll for actually trying to help her.
I then pointed out to yourself that Quidco have to wait for the money from the merchant before htey pay out to you the consumer who has taken the time to use Quidco to get youor cashback. You disputed this and claimed that Quidco got the money straight away and held on to it before they wanted to pay out so they would make money. I told you you were wrong. Then is descended into some silly slanging match with you being unable to read my posts correctly.
Then the Quidco rep came on here and confirmed that its the merchant who pays them at the end of the validation period and i asked you whether you still stuck by what you said in the first place but you evaded this, called me a troll and added me to your ignore list.
These are not attacks on any person on here but FACTS on how Quidco operate. And now Ruthha has started saying that its the merchants issues with not paying out to Quidco which menat they could not pay out to the customer. This is exactly what myself and others were saying but she denied it at first and has now made a massive turnaround in her views.
This is not us harrassing her nor trying to make her look like a berk(your words not mine) this was us trying to help and show her the error she was making.
She was the one who went way off topic and then got lots of posts deleted when she realised she was doing EXACTLY what she was telling others not to do, so she is the one who has been making herself look like a berk, not us.
I am not Quidco's biggest fan as i have said before(but you & Ruthha have overlooked this) but what i will do is point out the FACTS of when someone is wrong, that does not make me a troll nor a nasty person, that makes me someone who is trying to help another before they made themselves look silly in front of an organisation like Trading Standards who would've laughed her right out the office.one of the famous 50 -
I know at least one other MSE member has had this ticket, so has anyone on this thread had it also? It'd be interesting to see if this has gone out to everyone with an outstanding amount from Sainsbury's Finance.
Sorry to butt in but I just read the above. I posted recently to say that I had received this ticket and have to agree with Fenris. If I had known the process from tracked to paid was going to take 6 months+ i would never have taken my car insurance with them but looked elsewhere. The difference between the quote they provided me compared to another was quite nominal, however, the cashback, proved to be 'the carrot', so to speak.
If a company promises me a little bonus/financial extra/reimbursement within a set time when I purchase or apply for something, I make damn sure that I receive that 'reward' as that's what made me sign me up in the first place. Why do Quidco think they've got the right to renege on a deal? - and I talk about the time issue, not that it won't be paid at all.
I, (quite stupidly), relied on this money coming through in a set time. It's obviously taught me not to rely on any payments Quidco say they will pay, so anything I do get is a bonus! That's not how it should work though...It's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?0 -

It's the merchant, not Quidco who determine the timescale.one of the famous 50 -

Fully agree - cashbacks are now a big business and now need regulated.
FWIW - does anyone NOT think it's time for regulation??
Mentioned above regarding TS laughing, but would they laugh??
What about AS??
Would AS laugh as well??
Of of the reasons I joined this great site was for knowledge of the "12 months free mobile deals" etc. and some of the cashback sites seem to operate on a similar basis. I believe it was P4U who were investigated by TS and maybe Ofcom and were heavily fined for underhand practices.
Maybe, just maybe it's time for a cashback site to be investigated and regulations put in place - my view only. Big, big business now and surely some sort of guidelines need put in place?? We fully rely on the honesty of these sites and can all be trusted?? They should be, but can they??

So what's Quidco's role in all this then? See to it that payments are made when merchants state they will be? Doesn't seem to be working all the time, does it?
What do the paying members of Quidco do in the meantime then, accept what's being said to them with nothing more than a few 'rolled eyes?'It's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?0
