Sky showing Bruce Almighty

Tonight I decided to watch Bruce Almighty. I was happily watching it until 'Bruce' starts watching the news reports about the Tsunami in Japan.

I've got this on DVD and ran it through earlier, as a previous poster has said the clip in the film was not about a tsunami so you couldn't have seen one mentioned in the film,
so have you exaggerated this in order to make a topic for a thread??
and you also encouraged others to call sky and complain about this, without giving the true facts ??
why not just admit you over reacted, as many might and really it wasn't as bad as you thought,
I'm sure anyone waiting for news of loved ones in Asia would hardly have sat down and watched Bruce Almighty anyway and if they had SKY quite rightly issued a warning

When I was watching the film, I thought they said tsunami, but they may have said tidal wave. I appreciate these are different phenomenon, but whatever it was, it did upset me. And yes, I may have over reacted and I believe I admitted in my first post that I did not watch the film further. I am also aware that those who have lost someone in this disaster would probably not have sat down to an evening of light entertainment with a beer and a curry!

However, that aside, I was affected by something I saw on Sky TV and merely started this thread in case anyone else felt as I did. I most certainly did not make something up just to start it. I have already started a thread about the appeal in which I give my true feelings. I am not so sad that I feel my life would be worth more if I start up unneccesary threads!

I have apologised for my previous comments that were made in the heat of the moment. However, I find it extremely hurtful to be accused of these things. Surely I am not the only one who is over-reacting to things at the moment.

So, on a final note, sorry I over-reacted, sorry I started this thread, sorry that all I want to do is help some people, sorry I have to read hurtful and abrupt comment, sorry that I am an intelligent and emotional woman who tries to think that some people, however few, may be affected by certain actions.

Maybe some of you will be pleased to know that I have been reduced to tears just now. Maybe I'll just keep quiet in future. What a great place chat forums would be if we all felt and thought the same. Maybe I'm just gone!

TM, I have already said in a previous post that I am behind you 100% on this, I however wanted to add that you have nothing to be sorry about, everyone is entitiled to their own opinion and on something as raw and emotional as this, I would have thought that others could understand that people might be very sensitive.

Please dont upset yourself any more than you are already.

Please don't apologise for starting this thread. Discussion and life in general would be very boring indeed if everyone agreed about everything.

I will say that I'm sorry if my earlier post upset you, that was really not my intent. Maybe I should have made my point a little more tactfully. I'm sorry.

if you read the above quote properly you would see I was asking you a question, trying to get my facts right first, not accusing you of anything
although now you've come out with the "I'm reduced to tears" and "maybe I should leave now" to add to the earlier "I have a friend involved in this but can't talk about it" I'm sure there will be plenty of people on here to say aww don't worry,
whereas my opinion "that you have overreacted" will be picked on and pulled to pieces as if I'm the only one who spoke against you,
but you did start this thread asking people to join you in haraunging SKy without checking your facts

i have been just were you are now, the feeling of hurt the tears, the mixed emotions, even wondered if i would ever post again. but the people that sent messages of support and posted in my favour helped me to get over it, when i look back now, it really was silly that i should feel that way, we are all entitled to our own opinions and its unfortunate that not everyone words things in a way that doesnt sound abrupt or condesending,

you are still entitiled to your opinion and your own feelings and whether anyone agrees with you or not is irrespective, its a fact of life that we all dont agree all the time.

But please dont let a few comments make you feel so down that you think your best not to post or have any input on the site again, that would be so wrong, i know its something that may be quite painful at the moment but it will get easier i promise and with the support of your friends on here it will soon be forgotton. ;D :-* :-* :-*

I'm stating my opinions

unlike TM I am not saying people should agree with me

I'm not banging on about how words on a forum by people I don't know have upset me either

My answer to her refers to nothing of the sort it was a general remark and i had no particular person in mind when i wrote it, that is an assumption you have come to in your own head, perhaps you feel that galileo got it wrong and the world actually revolves around you :-/
