Not being funny but if your husband has been abusive and you have children why has it taken you this long to do something about it? Children are affected by this kind of behaviour far younger than most people give them credit for. If your that scared then go to a women's hostel, contact the police, anyone who will help you leave in the safest way possible.

Your husband has rights too, you cant just ask him to move out!!

I think people get mixed up between getting "support and advice" which is really just them wanting to be told they're right, and being told something truthful or evident that they don't particularly want to hear...
