I had laser eye treatment at Optimax (Epi-Lasek with Wavefront) about 2 weeks ago and cannot reccomend them enough! My eye sight was better than 20:20 3 days after the op!
I am so amazed with the results, after being so worried about it!
Anyway, when you have the treatment they give you some little cards to recomend friends. I get £50 and the person get £500 off the price of treatment. If anyone wants one, or wants my details please email me:

Has anyone any experience of the lens implant surgery? My sight is too poor to have laser surgery, however, the lens implant is suitable.0

I have posted this on the referral board but assume it's OK to repeat it here:
I have to admit that I haven't yet had laser eye surgery but hope to do so when I've saved up enough Tesco vouchers to get the cost down enough. In the mean time I received an email from Optimax with a referral code for 'friends' to save £100 on treatment, plus I get £100 cash for the referral. I will split that with you so you get £100 off plus £50 cash. Then any £50 leftovers can go into my eye surgery savings pot!
PM me for details.
As a caveat: as I say I haven't used optimax at all so can't vouch for them personally but I do plan to and there seem to be plenty of recommendations on this site. See optimax.co.uk for further details.
Many thanks.
PS Although this doesn't look as good as the £500 referral, I THINK that is for the more expensive Wavefront treatment only, whereas this is for any treatment. Do check if in doubt.'In penguins and pearls we'll drink and we'll dance, 'til the end of our days, 'cause it ain't left to chance that we win...'0 -
If you are thinking about laser eye surgery abroad, dont be tempted by the thought of holiday and surgery in one. Although this is often a bonus, as well as saving lots of money, many laser procedures require continious monitoring after surgery and so check that these appointments can be done in the UK.0

Hey I had intralase with wavefront on 18/12/08 prior to this my right eye was -6.5 and left was -5.5. Today my right eye is -0.75, left is fine and I have been told I need another intralase top up just for right eye.
Has anyone had a laser top up, please advise??
Any dangers??
What should I be asking them before I decide to go ahead with the laser top up??0 -

I had mine done at Ultralase Cardiff last Friday. It was a little bit uncomfortable but there's honestly nothing to it. When the anasthetic drops wore off my eyes started to stream and were difficult to open for a few hours but not painful. I had an early night as couldn't do much else. All was fine when I woke up Saturday morning. You'll be fine. Good luck.0
