0% finance, treatment FROM £395 per eye.
    sounds a good deal

when you go to optimax just make sure you have a price in mind with what you want to pay and haggle for it, i went with them initially because i felt they were a better company after looking around a few and i have friends who have been to thier clinic in finchley road recently and a few yrs ago and have never had any problems, i cant belive i didnt get it done sooner its soo good (although i wouldnt of minded the half price offer)

I had laser eye treatment at Optimax (Epi-Lasek with Wavefront) about 2 months ago and cannot reccomend them enough! My eye sight was better than 20:20 3 days after the op!
I am so amazed with the results, after being so worried about it!

Anyway, when you have the treatment they give you some little cards to recomend friends. I get £50 and the person get £500 off the price of treatment.

    Thanks!
  • Made three appointments for next week with a few days inbetween eachone.

Optimax - will honour £1995 price for laser/laser/wavefront ( dont know if i will get any more money off that but wil try )

ultralase - cant get price until i see them

optical express cant get price till see them
read all about machinery and all seem to offer the top machines.
    Wavefront -optimax uses timebased machine
the others use hartmann- shock technology
looked at studies and whilst there are significant results shown in the measurements the machines produce if the two are used on the same person - I cant really understand them. One was better for higher readings and one for lower readings. So i supose it depends on what is wrong with your eyes in the first place.
    Everything else looked the same.
has anyone been to the different clinics that can say how they compared ? and how they chose the one they wanted ?

i have been to the different clinics before i went to poptimax and they all offered me the same treatment with the same machinery with a couple of hundred pounds difference in price, optical express wouldnt budge on price, ultralase gave me a slight discount but i got the best price from optimax and felt more comfortable going there as i knew people who had already had it done there

  • Thanks mirror i will see what happens when I go .
I am quite nervous - so i think it best i go to the different ones then when it comes to the real thing i will be a bit more confident.

I did enquire with one place about sedatives for the op and she said to ask when i go for the consultation.
Has anyone had these and did you get them from the clinic or from the Dr.?

i was so nervous when i went, i hardly slept the night before, didnt realise i was holding my breath whilst they were doing it until they said thats all done and this big sigh of relief came out, took me around three yrs to pluck up the courage and save the money lol, the half price deal at optimax from one of the links above s a good deal if anyone was wondering, they havent put the price up just to tale half of it off if you know what i mean,
dont forget all i still have reffer a friend codes so pm if you want, you get £500 off treatment and i get £50. any questions just ask

Does anyone know if these laser eye companies charge for a consultation? I would like to obviously shop around first comparing prices, but obviously do not want to pay for the consultations, otherwise it will end of costing me more.

    Many thanks!
