The 12 week Debt-Life *Achieve something* Plan - WEEK 7
Comments

:hello: Hi everyone!
Update as at begining of week 2:-
1. Cut out alcohol - eek! failing miserably on this, will try harder!
2. Loose a stone - off to buy a set of scales/body fat measurers today so can start working on this properly, although have done well on the slim fast this week! just need to get on top of the exercise side of things....
3. Get all my college assignments done on time - haven't had any yet
4. Finish decorating my house - hallway done, next target is bathroom then DB's bedroom
5. Make all my xmas pressies and cards - have found a recipe for bath bombs and have ordered the necessary from ebay to have a go at that and have seen some lovely wallpaper that will make great cards and its cheap!
Have to agree with sammy115 about reaffirming goals, especially now I have a wedding date! So I need to add a few bits to my list:-
6. Design and make wedding invitiations, cake and favours
7. Make sure wedding dress still fits and get alterations done if necessary
8. Do a budget to ensure we can actually PAY for the wedding :rotfl:!!
(Maybe I ought to prioritise these goals :rolleyes: lol!)
Anyway, good luck to all this week, this thread is brilliant motivation!! :beer:
I think the thread is brilliant too - keeping us all on track!I could give up chocolate, but I'm no quitter!Shoe love is true loveDebt-free 21/12/09 and determined to stay that way - still DF 09/10/170 -
Hi Jassa :hello:
The website I liked the best is this one:
http://www.teachsoap.com/bombs.html
because of the variations. I *think* there is a thread on here somewhere with some hints and tips - but the one I remember the most is do no use borax, which makes sense seeing as its an insectiside (also used for cleaning the brain cavity of a skull for mounting, according to wiki _pale_) icky!!

Well done everyone keep going.
As Sammy has said, we all need to remind ourselves of our goals and wanted achievements for these 12 weeks. We are only 1 week down, still 11 to go so plenty of time to jump back on the wagon if you feel you might not quite be there yet
Have to say I am finding its keeping me focused on doing the things I have put down to do as I don't like to have to come back here and say I haven't done it!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Right...I want to start again because last week was a washout, and I actually slipped further back, not moved forwards.
So. New 11 week plan. And I will list my goals at the start of each week. Going to try and make each individual week really achievable, because I am floundering a bit and need to take baby steps.
11 Week Plan:
* Lose a stone
* Increase running distance until I can complete a 10 mile run.
* Sign up for a half marathon for next year
* Finish decorating my bedroom
* Pay off my credit card
* Sell shares, pay off credit card, put back savings used this year (which is...um...virtually all of themso I need to get a fairly good price for the shares!)
* Finish buying Xmas presents before Xmas eve for once. :rolleyes:
Plan for this week:
* Make a meal plan for the week
* Go running...doesn't matter how far, just get out and run, just for the fun of it, because I haven't been doing.
* Lose 2lbs
* Finish painting 2 walls and half of ceiling by the end of the week (sounds easy but 3 coats are needed, and it's hard to fit in around the kids)
* Put away the enormous pile of laundry that currently lives in my bedroom (this is my first task, to be completed today with no excuses)"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Spud, I'm starting an 11 week plan from today, so dive right in hun!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Hi everyone - week 2 already :eek:
My challenges stand to date as follows:
1. Pay £1200 off debt - nothing paid yet but will be paying off £400 later this week so this will be on next week's achievements.
2. Lose 7lbs - not weighed myself yet (coward that I am!). Been doing loads of exercise but not doing a lot diet wise but have started counting WeightWatchers points from today.
3. Buy all Christmas presents - bought a few stocking fillers for DD and DS this weekend.
4. Pay/save for all holiday associated costs - have saved £110.75 so far but should be able to add to this at the end of this week.
All in all I think we're all doing great so far! :TI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
