I can't be bothered to do any more gardening. I like doing jobs in my HHCs that I know I can finish and I know the other gardening bits will take longer than that at the mo. I am off to see if I can do something else for a bit.

    Short notice...

    HHC 2-2.30 anyone?

    Hi everyone
I've been MIA for a few months, with summer holidays and visiting parents and boyfriend's parents and other family things I've not had time to post, but I've been dipping in and out. My 2nd year at uni starts on the 28th, so I thought I'd better get back into the housework (ugh), although I won't be posting as much as I used to, I just don't have the time to give the thread the time it deserves.

Pigpen, Toots and Soappie Thankyou for the amazing job you do with the lists and stars and generally keeping everyone in check.

Lady-L I was so sad to read your bad news. I hope the trip to America has the results you want. You are in my thoughts.

There is much more that I should say to people, but I think sending big squishy sparkly hugs to everyone will cover it. I'm going to go and find this weeks list, so I can delete what I've done (I've missed doing that, I'm a sad person!)

  • Oh, no AJ, bindweed is terrible stuff! You poor thing!

Hex, I've planted, wait for it, wait for it(while I go and find the packets, can't remember all the names!) Cyclamen Cilicicum, Colchicum waterlily (hopefully not a waterlily) and crocus something or other (opened where the name was ) - these are all suppposed to flower in the autumn, to me the autumn is now, so I might be too late, and for next year Alliums with the grand name of reddish-purple!

I've also cleaned the sink and loo and one light fitting - took the other one off the ceilng and the bulb broke inside it and I can't be bothered to faff about sorting it out so have left that for now. Also done my French lesson which was very complicated, as not only has he added in Il, and Elle, but also Nous and the appropriate endings, and lots of other new words like Reste, Prete, Commence and things like that.

  • anyone for a HHC 2.30 to 3ish?

DS is 7 tomorrow and a small hoard of boys will be descending after school for a play & birthday tea.

Food all made, just need to hoover around, cut grass & put up the tent. It's so nice they can play outside, and a carpet picnic tea (in or out depending on temperature).

And maybe find the real coffee - I've a feeling I may need it!!

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
