HHC was longer than expected but I can strike something else from my list :j:j

    OWN TASKS

Hoe and weed garden already done
[STRIKE]Clean inside of car if time[/STRIKE]
Start on bush at bottom of garden if time

We are still meant to have some nice day's over the weekend so OH may be able to help me with some of the garden stuff, although we are hoping to varnish the window surrounds so that they are finished and shiny and new.

Rosepink - I like the daffodils too - I don't like big blowsy ones very mcuh but want to add some minatures this year. The other bulbs should be fine, with the cyclamen they just want planting asap. They are not big fans of being stored dry.

Serena - I still need to do my Peter Nyssen order. Can't decide if planting 1500 scented white crocus in one large flower bed is going to make it look like a park (outside the garden wall at the front, at the side of the road, knee high, south facing, poor soil - currently has lots of cerise azaleas, and then orange crocosmia later in the year). Couldn't possibly afford it if it wasnt for you giving me their details so thanks again. Daren't do tulips or daffodils or people will be 'picking' them.

I just have a few bits to do when i get back from picking the boys up - including making the beds - then I will be able to claim my stars. First time I have done all five in a while other than as an emergency clean for visitors.

Of to meet OH from work, I look forward to our Friday evening chill sessions before the weekend.

We have got a plan to do quite a lot of bits and bobs in the house this weekend. I hope to report good things through the weekend and on Monday.

If I don't get back on, I hope you all have a great weekend. See you on Monday for plenty more flying

  • Are they ok? I was really worried about them being in the post. You need to plant them and water them asap, did they get very bashed?

    There's a Strictly thread?

I watered them immediately - they were totally fine, not bashed at all and they are on the window sill ready to be planted out tomorrow. Thank you again :A they are so cute and I cannot wait to watch them grow. I might keep them in the greenhouse for a few days when I pot them up as my patio area is really windy.

And yes there is a strictly thread - Jinks and I will be there typing wayyy too much the whole time it is on! HERE is the direct link - it's already six pages long!

    hugs to you honey

  • OK - place is tidy, grass cut and 4 phone calls answered. No-one phones for days then all at once!!

A last quiet sit down whilst awaiting said hoards...see you a lot later...

Anyone fancy a HHC 3.30-4pm? I want to make some inroads into my list!

Not so 'handyman' has been and gone. He put the light fitting up but couldn't work out which was the live wire (possibly because he was trying with the elec turned off?!) and so is coming back tomorrow with his electrician mate. I'm not happy as I will have to be around (not that I was necessarily going to go out, but now I don't have that option, DH is working).

Nice lunch with friend :) plus picked up some bits for dinner, managed to forget the vinegar though so will nip back out later I guess. Feels like the day has run away with me a bit, have done nothing!
