tinkerbells mum
hi
i am in a similar state to you....seriously my whole house is a dump and i had a crying session last week as this lot will tell you
1st
as you mentioned washing i take it you have clothes clean and dirty all over the place...cough cough!! speaking from experience
Bag it all up..roll of bin bags and bag whites into 1 bag or 10! and same with darks coloureds etc ie things that can be washed together
get another bin bag for crap ripped clothes stuff that doesnt fit etc and bin it....dont think your at the stage to sort for charity or ebaying etc anything particularly good save to ebay or charity for later
then depending if you have a dryer or not pile the bags tidily next to the washing machine and do systematically make sure you hang out or TD straight away or you will be left with piles of smelly damp washing ... been there done that
as its washed and dried hand in a clean wardrobe or draws ..even if you dont iron it at this stage..it just gets it out of the way!!
THIS LOT COULD BE DONE AT A PUSH WITH LITTLE ONE AROUND
In the meantime is there anyone that could have your little one for an hour or two or do you qualify for free nursery place or anything so that you can get cracking with other stuff....
if not its harder but you can still do it
write a list and do it room by room of everything you want done in that room...even the little things...put toys away etc etc
as you do a job cross it off the list...FEEL GOOD FACTOR!!
when you have wrote list you might have to rearrange it as you cant for example hoover the rug if its full of crap..pardon my french
if you do the washing and clothes stuff today even if you dont wash them all just bag them up you will be able to at least see where you are up to
if you are moving soon start packing up what you dont use then you dont have to keep tidying or cleaning round it
get some boxes from freecycle or something
good luck....i know where your coming from
debs xx
ps buy some smelly soap powder house will smell lovely then ....washing all over but sweet smelling washing at least!Save 12k in 2015 member 187. £62.50/60000 -

AJ hope you manage to get the place sorted out now the workmen have gone
Hugs Helen, I wish you weren’t leaving – please post occasionally so we know how you are getting on xx
Well done Wilf on doing so much – grr to the lady in your road, sounds like your DS has an alibi so I’m sure it won’t go any further
Mrs B, I loved the story about the wine
Toots, glad you had a good day y’day at Macm house
Has anyone claimed Miss February yet? I have in mind me knitting a scarf, with balls of wool in the relevant places
Hugs Frodders, don’t be too hard on yourself
Julie - I've recorded Martin from last night to watch later
toottifrootti wrote: »RP re your question - it needs to be ALL the clutter so I am afraid your idea of just doing the bits mentioned above wont work - I cant stroke that off my list as my hall is full of boxes so it will be months before I can get a LR/Hall list done despite my LR being spotless.
toottifrootti wrote: »RP I think your dailies needs a bit of tweaking - if you dont mind me saying - if you read pigpens definitions on post 1 dailies are the 'housework' things we NEED to do every day - washing up, making beds, S&S etc - your heel balm applying and washing and getting dressed are personals - similarly your HHK, french lesson are hobbies /relaxation things and wouldnt really be classed as necessities in life - your text and Bible reading are important to you I know but again are personal so maybe you should split your list into 2 and only post the household things because the personals are for you and not the house IYSWIM.
You need to try to have a daily routine for the household chores that gets them done first and out of the way EVERYDAY regardless of how you feel or what you are doing - at most i would think it is an hour's work and if you try a little bedtime routine too it might help even more.
Once the daily jobs are done then you can catch up with the day's list and get your extras done - I think you will achieve much mre than you are - but well done for getting your wooden box done today - put some lavender in with the bedding to keep it fresh.
toots xx
cha97michelle wrote: »toots RP's list - i thought it was ok to put personal things on the list. The original flylady has things like take your vitamin, drink your water. That is what the fly system is all about - finally loving yourself by taking careof your own needs. Just my opinion on it, i don't see the harm in having it on there. Pigpen also says feel free to work off your own list. Anyone else have a thought on it?
Thanks babe xx
TinkerbellsMum, I can’t help much but as AJ said the HHC’s are fab – it’s amazing how much you can get done in a short time if you really try. Re the washing – I’ve got into a routine with mine, try to get the washing ready in the machine, powder in, and then when you get up you can start it straight away by just pushing on button! Saves having to think early in the morning! Just an idea anyway. You will get there, babysteps and all that
Hugs Eltee
Sorry for such a long post - am going to find my list now xx"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."
