greenbee my son and I have been sneezing, snotty and had headaches with the cold we both have.....always a possibility.
Michelle he'd probably love a dustpan, mine did at that age. Alternatively dogs make great vacuum cleaners :) I agree with the lists, they are just suggestions, pointers, not must do things, everyones home/needs etc is different
froddy ((hugs)) cheer up honey you will get it sorted
toots we're getting there slowly, takes about 15/20 minutes to drive DS2 to school and DP has got up most mornings to wait with DS1 for his taxi (which was oddly early this morning when we were running late, typical!) we decided not to move his school as his ASD assessment starts next week.
wilf not suprised you are annoyed, we had similar neighbour issues in the past....someone blamed my son for kicking a hole in a fence, must have long legs to do it from Blackpool

Morning everyone, still feeling gakky here too, hope it's gone in 11 days!

I've already done 3 washer loads, 1 dried in TD as it's pittling down again. I've emptied another box (found somewhere for cleaning stuff) rearranged 3 kitchen cupboards, emptied DW, sorted spices/herbs, washed drainer/sink out....forgotten what else now.

I best go phone DPs Grandma, see if she is ok and not had any EMERGENCIES yet. Night before last she phoned the POLICE because her fire alarm battery was going flat and she couldn't get to sleep, no I am not kidding, DPs Dad will go mad when he finds out (they are in Spain) anyway we got it sorted yesterday for her, she's a nightmare! Then will do something, join donna73's HHC :) 11.30-12 and maybe a short nap after that as I feel shattered.

Oh before I forget, for those who online grocery shop, have you tried Sainsburys? If not http://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/lil_me they are offering £10 cashback for online grocery order (new customers only) yes that is my referal link.
One day I might be more organised...........

  • i'm sorry i know we aren't suppose to have any chatty posts on this thread but i don't know wher to turn. i feel like screaming.
i've never been a very tidy person i've never really cared (horriable isn't it) but the birth of my son changed something in me and i want to be a normal mum with a nice clean house but i have years of rubbish to organise now and don't know where to start plus i don't know how to do alot of things. these fly lady threads have really been helping me but we r moving in 2 months (which is great for a fresh start) but i have loads of stuff thats a mess and tons of washing i can't seem to catch up on.
i manage to get my daliy jobs done thanks to this thread but never seem to find the time to do anything else even if i knew where to start. i have a 1 year old that is into everything and a 8 year old at school so doesn't really effect things and i work mon-fri at night.
where do i start and how do i catch up and any tips for keeping things straight in my new house

sorry again for post (didn't think it fitted on main board its not money saving)

    Hi tinkerbellsmum

The fact that you are able to keep on top of your dailies is great (my mum doesn't!) :T. Have you tried the HHC's, I find them great for getting stuff done. Are you able to start by doing Level 1 tasks and a bit of decluttering? If you are moving then I take it you are going to be packing your stuff up. Maybe you can start sorting through a cupboard, throw/give away what don't want, pack what you can do without and then sort out storing the rest. Try tackling one or half of one each day (I am doing mine weekly because of work)

There are some inspirational people on here who get some great things done each day.

I am sure people will be able to advise you better than me, but keep posting and people will help you along.

    Afternoon girls!

Tinkerbell - pigpens lists are really easy to follow - you could start at level one and work your way up. don't put unrealistic demands on yourself and just do a little bit every day. I am not the best flylady as not being in great health I cannot do a lot of the lists but even the small things I manage make a big difference. You have lots of amazing people on this thread that can really h elp you so you came to the right place. Good luck honey!
Ok, my list for today is as follows -
Feed the cat at least twicecat.gif
    [STRIKE]Brush the cat [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Sort and delete 50 emails [/STRIKE](didn't have a target before I saw pigpens list - thank you!)
    [STRIKE]reply to emails[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clean bathroom sink[/STRIKE]
Spray bleach on the bottoms of the shower curtains

    Extras
Sort through my handbag - wouldn't have thought of that but saw it on the list here!
Research carpet cleaning firms for quotes - tomorrow
Darn the ripped sheet - tomorrow
    Make cheese and onion pasties
Make a Get Well Soon card - tomorrow
Post on gardening Forum - tomorrow
empty at least 4 more tubs of summer bedding
    harvest more tomatoes and strawberries
    check peppers and chillis
organise OH to water the entire garden

Am about to start the pasties but my extras are changing after that as its the 8th day of sunshine and I am going out to the garden instead!

    Have a good day flying!

Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.
