Would you be able to let me know how to do this too please. I hadn't realised that the pdf document was 'secured'
Only a couple of days left - ooohhh I'm so excited. I bought 2 of the Tesco girl dolls and have converted one of them into a boy but cutting off the pigtails, taking off the scarf and long eyelashes and also cutting the dress down into a top. I have also made two little sleeping bag beds from two fat quarters of christmas fabric and some white lacey fabric as a sheet - I just need to sort out the passport and record book and buy a box for them to arrive in and I'm done.

I've spent the night searching for letter templates that you can add your own words, as opposed to filling in blank spaces for names etc. A lot of them I found were pdf's where you can't change the main text of the letter.
This one lets you fill in the whole letter yourself http://bestsantasletter.com/create-free-letters-from-santa-claus
I have used it to say that Santa had hoped to send an elf (as I had been telling ds that an elf might be coming before having to buy a tesco christmas doll instead!) but they are behind in their work making toys so he is going to send his very special friend instead etc etc.
I've done a second letter enclosing the doll and their advent calendars and explaining that lo's have to tuck her into her Christmas sleeping bag (tomorrow nights job!) etc.
Hope it saves someone a bit of time hunting around!
Great find, I've already created mine but I would have used this if I hadn't! Thanks for sharing!0 -
You can download a free pdf password remover and then edit it in photoshop. I know I have had lots of PM's asking for info so thought I would just share it on here as I would be here all day trying to reply to all of them!!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0

Hi again, I just checked the "I will compose the letter myself box" on the page (the second page, after I clicked on "Go to Step 1,format details on the page of the link I posted"). This took out the prewritten letter and let me write the whole lot myself. Hope this makes sense!0

Why oh why did I read this with only 1 day to go! Guess what i'm going to be searching for tomorrow though I'm sure I'll find something even if it's a decoration for the tree. Oooohhhhh - I could do that and then we could keep our little elf for the tree.
Fantastic ideas....I loved the picture of him playing the DS. This is going to be so much fun. Thank you xx0 -
Wannabe moneysaver - thank you for posting the template letter. I have myself an elf letter (just missing the elf to go with it!). On the letter I've put not to ask your mum any questions as she isn't planning it....'elfy' is! Otherwise they'll be questioning me left, right and centre.
We're hoping to visit the Christmas markets in town at the weekend but i've not told our children yet so that can be one of the things they do with 'elfy'. I'm not naming him until I see him....can you tell I'm getting carried away!:rotfl:0 -

I can't wait to show the kids again, we did it last year but they can't remember - it's even better this year much more detail. Glad you enjoyed it x:beer:0
