  • I have hunted all around Northampton for a Christmas Elf and had no luck whatsoever. But i have found a Christmas Dog ( a huskie so quite inkeeping with the theme) so i have bought him and decided that Father Christmas will send his naughty dog to be looked after by us as he is too busy in December to keep an eye on him and all his misbehaving! But he will check that he is isn't being too naughty so he will also ask if my DS is behaving or not!

I think that we will be able to pretend that the dog has been as naughty as an elf, and if i find and elf for next year they can come and visit us together next year!

Hello everyone... Just thought I'd pop a post in to say if anyone is thinking about their elf leaving craft stuff for the children to do especially in the last week before Christmas when they are off school. I have found some lovely bits from the ebay seller fabfuncrafts all under £2 and combinded postage as well.

  • I have Ben's little winter friend now - he's a tatty teddy from card factory - and he's holding a little stocking that says ho ho ho on it with a Santa hat and a scarf on so I can put notes etc in the stocking for Ben I think.

He is going to be called Noel Jingle Toes. So think I will need to get Ben's letter from Mrs Claus written and delivered to him on Monday warning him a Christmas friend is on his way and that he will need a nice comfy bed ASAP! so he can do that Monday night after school

Then Tuesday once he arrives with Bens advent calender etc he can have left a note saying that he noticed the tree wasn't up so we can do that Tuesday night. ;)

Now off to make more plans.........
    Time to find me again
  • I just wanted to share this pic which my lovely OH did for me, I sent him the letter, journal and passport for him to edit for me with the kids names on etc etc.

Anyway I asked if he could add a stamp for our local airport onto the passport for me and he did it :j :j my eldest (aged 7 DS) will believe it really is even more real now!! :j

(The one I am on about is Newcastle airport and look at the date stamped on there aswell ;))

Hi how did your OH edit it? I want to do something similar for mine and put our elf's photo on it but I can't edit it... have tried in acrobat, illustrator and photoshop and the pdf needs a password to access it.

Yours looks great and I would appreciate any help on how to get mine done.

  • Hi again, just thought I'd share this....thought it might come in handy if anyone needs a letter from Santa enclosing their elf/doll/teddy etc.

I've spent the night searching for letter templates that you can add your own words, as opposed to filling in blank spaces for names etc. A lot of them I found were pdf's where you can't change the main text of the letter.

This one lets you fill in the whole letter yourself http://bestsantasletter.com/create-free-letters-from-santa-claus

I have used it to say that Santa had hoped to send an elf (as I had been telling ds that an elf might be coming before having to buy a tesco christmas doll instead!) but they are behind in their work making toys so he is going to send his very special friend instead etc etc.

I've done a second letter enclosing the doll and their advent calendars and explaining that lo's have to tuck her into her Christmas sleeping bag (tomorrow nights job!) etc.

Hope it saves someone a bit of time hunting around!
  • How do you change it? I am so useless!
