I only received 32 pairs and was expecting 36. It does seem a bit misleading but after checking the details on the daysoft website they don't actually tell you that you will receive 4 extra pairs free. I therefore presumed that 28 pairs are in sealed boxes so that if you're not happy with the comfort or vision of the lenses you can return the unopened boxes for a full refund so the 4 day trial lenses become free as you will be refunded for 32. Maybe I'm wrong but if others have received 36 pairs then please let me know and I will contact daysoft and query this.

what i got was two packs sticker on it says 32 pairs includes 4 day strip so im guessing 28 in the pack + the 4 on strip = 32 pairs .. still as some places only give u 28 pairs and give u that excuse that is their monthly supply and u are suposed to give ur eyes a rest by not wearing lenses for a few days a month ! given that its still a amazing deal .. been waiting for prices of dailys to drop for years

Just thought I'd post some more info on the Orthok lenses.
My local optician charges £150 initial fee and then £35 per month (which includes all lenses and aftercare).

This is less than the other one posted above so not all are the same price. It's more expensive than other lenses but not a huge amount.

thanks for that post - do you know the name of the optician by any chance?

and then just went in to get a leaflet.

I still haven't done anything but my eyes are terrible with hayfever at the moment (and I'm allergic to eye drops).
  • I use Acuvue 1 day lenses which are expensive compared to Daysoft so I 'm thinking of switching.
How are people finding them- are they just as comfortable as the more well known brands.
(It would be could to here from peeps who have switched from acuvue)
And what about delivery - do they deliver as quickly as the say and no problems?
    Thanks

I have now used them about 4 times (where them only when I'm going out in the evening or diving).

Am happy with them. Bit fiddly taking the lenses out of the packaging (basically the lenses are not in seperate trays a la traditional contact lens style packaging, but you get "strips" instead).

I used to wear acuve and then focus. In terms of comfort I find the Daysoft lenses just as comfortable.

In terms of delivery, it took about 6 days to arrive (but I do live out in Jersey, so need to give an extra day or two for things to get over from the mainland).

Overall, very happy, especially for the cost.

I took delivery of my first pack of these lenses last week.

I've worn them three times - for a whole day each time having previously worn Focus Dailies All Day Comfort which I found very comfortable indeed.

I find these lenses slightly less comfortable as, for me at least, they cause my eyes to burn slightly which never happened with the Focus Dailies.

Also, the first time I wore these lenses my vision was not quite as sharp as with the Focus Dailies, although it seemed to improve slightly the next couple of times I wore them.

I think I will finish off this pack and then re-evaluate which lenses I wish to continue with.

I would be happy to continue wearing these if i save a substantial amount in the long run, but I am able to get the Focus Dailies from Asda for just under £19 per month which might be worth it for the extra comfort.

If the daysoft lenses can break under the £10 per month barrier it will certainly be worth switching to them in the long run.

Oh and yes the packaging is extremely fiddly - the picture in the example of someone snapping open a lens pod just does not work!
