Daily Disposable Contact Lenses £12.99 per month

The man who invented daily disposables has started selling direct to the public, cutting out the middle man. The result is dailies at £12.99 per month, including acuvue equivalent. I've ordered a 3 month supply of B&L soflens one day equivalents for £38.98 delivered, instead of the cheapest £54 for branded (acuvue cheapest is £80ish for 3 months, but as far as I can see the equivalents are also £38.98). They give you a 4 day free trial with your order and if you aren't happy after using these, you can return for full refund as long as the tamper seals on the boxes are intact. Delivery is quick too, as mine arrived within 24 hours.

Have a look at the website and see what you think. I thought it was worth a try and have been very satisfied with my own experience.
I must point out that this was highlighted by regvardy on the contact lenses discussion thread where he included an article from the FT online, but I thought it worthy of a separate mention here as it was a little hidden there. Mods - feel free to move as you see fit.

Unfortunately not - if you look on the faqs they say that daysoft uv are spherical lenses and a toric version is not available at the moment.0 -

ah well, maybe it's one to watch for the future - albeit through an astigmatic blurry haze! :rolleyes:0 -
Thanks purplepatch, I've just ordered a month's supply. I wear monthly disposables and wanted some daily lenses too as they come in handy for holidays. You usually have to buy a minimum of 3 months' worth of lenses from online suppliers, which has put me off ordering in the past, so it's great that you can buy just a one month supply from daysoft.0

Thanks to the OP for this! Shame old Ron Hamilton didn't get his eyebrows tidied up for that pic on the website! Jesus he looks weird or are they comedy air-brushed eyebrows??Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.

Does anyone know if they make a check with your optition? I had a contact lens fitting last week and am doing a trial - they said if I want to purchase lenses from them, the fitting is free, however, if I want the prescription, so I can purchase on-line, it will cost me £20.00 - (or I can just abandon the whole thing and owe nothing), if I ordered from these, would they contact the optition for confirmation inc which case, they in turn would bill me for £20 -0

I'm not convinced that they did contact mine, but don't hold me to that. You probably noticed that you do have to give the name of the optician when you place the order.
I actually ordered a 3 month supply from okvision a couple of weeks ago before finding out about daysoft. Within a few hours of my placing the order I received a call from my opticians who said that they had been contacted by okvision but would not release details to them without my permission, which I gave.
I subsequently cancelled that order and reordered a few days later from daysoft and I never heard anything from my optician that time. Perhaps they took my earlier permission as a kind of blanket authority to release information to any company though, can't be sure.
I have to pay £30 annually for a CL checkup, but it is worth it in my opinion for the savings I can get buying lenses online. I don't think there is anyway around paying for a checkup if you want to buy your lenses over the internet.0
