Just wondering whether anyone has tried the acuvue equivalent lenses and can offer any feedback?

My mum is interested, but wary in case they aren't as good.

BTW - I am thinking of trying Orthox lenses.
These are the ones that you wear overnight and then have perfect vision during the day.
They don't suit strong prescriptions (yet) but it does cover astigmatism (up to a point).
I guess the prescription suitability will increase as the technology evolves.

Do you know how much OrthoK lenses cost - they're very expensive

No, I don't know, but I have read threads and the general guidance given didn't seem too bad.
I know it's expensive to begin with, but one person said the on-going costs are cheaper than other lenses.

I'm a high earner so it's not too much of an issue for me, but if you have any more info on the costs then please post it.

BTW - I haven't investigated right now as it's not convenient due to other commitments, but I expect to investigate in a couple of weeks.

It does seem to be a safer alternative to laser eye surgery and, as you say, the ongoing costs appear to be cheaper than other lenses. You will find an example of the costs here.

    Thanks for the info.
I really am a bit torn because I've been wearing glasses for nearly 30 years so I am very used to them.
It's hard for me to imagine the benefits of being without them (except sports etc.)

The alternative is to just use daily lenses and put this off until it becomes cheaper (which I think is inevitable).

I too will be keeping my eye on the cost of OrthoK and may try it when it becomes cheaper.

Found this video while doing a search for Ortho-K. Philip Schofield from This Morning gave Ortho-K a try and you can hear what he thought of the results.

I also use the regular Boots Dailies and have just ordered the equivalent - I hope they are just as good!
