Stopping buying milk..am i wrong ??

I really needed to tighten my belt and fresh milk was the first casualty.
I now use Coffee Mate Light for coffee (tried other cheaper whiteners but didn't like the taste) and really prefer the taste over coffee made with milk.
The other main thing is for cereal and as I mainly have porridge I figured I would give powdered milk a try as once it was cooked it was all mixed in and I would be less likely to notice any difference from fresh. Lo and behold I was right - tastes the same.
After a while I plucked up courage to try on bran flakes and it tasted slightly weak and watery to start with compared to normal milk but I soon got used to it. I also added more powder than the recommended and it didn't taste so weak.
Of course you could also try the powdered milk with coffee but I found I prefered the Coffee Mate.
I have saved a fortune doing this. Powdered milk costs just over a pound for a big tub and it lasts for weeks. Coffee Mate is slightly more expensive but also lasts weeks.
Give it a go. If you really don't like it what have you lost? A couple of pounds, but you have the potential to save loads.0
