    Hi KC,

No sci-fi here, just watched the new A Team dvd, awesome!!!!!!!!!!

We have a wedding to go to at the end of April too. DH is best man and has no idea what to say as we really do not know them as well as a best man should. I will be shopping for a dress hopefully at Chez Sister, who has a fab taste in clothes and a decent budget, just have to hope she has something to fit my lack of boobs, but then her's aren't much bigger :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

And I thought there was going to be a jokey answer like "around your ankles..."

Sorry Z, I forget that blokes pop in here occasionally.

How you doing, did you have a good Christmas?

I did indeed. Though did a bit too much driving on Christmas Eve, so was rather tired. Ended up with some nice and thoughtful presents though.

I hope your Christmas was good. Are you seeing the rest of the relations after the bad weather has gone?

You should know me by now ... I'm rubbish at those jokey to-and-froes - I wish I wasn't, but I am...

Sometimes people travel so far for such a short time. Or sometimes its car owners who have to go a comparatively short distance but have to do a return journey twice in a day - which actually means hours of driving. Your pressies sound good tho - especially "thoughtful", thats lovely.

We are having a get together later, yes - my mum is now coming down on the 29th, and on the 2nd two of my brother's "kids" both in their 30s are coming down from London and we're all going to a pub lunch - pieces of all the family there, thats really special.

EDIT - Pippa, I borrowed some clothes from my sister earlier this year, I'd left behind the skirt I needed for my own outfit, and it worked out really well. Hope yours does too.

glad you've been brave and ordered something. One of the things that strikes me is that 'fussy' seems to be in at the moment. If you are tallish and slim, you can get away with it, but as someone who isn't either of those, I tend to switch off. The layered look is good if you do it right.

Then practice. The more you practice, the better you'll be. If you say "I can", then you may be wrong - but saying "I can't" - you'll always be right.

Then have your wicked way... ;)

    Hello Z,

    that ^ sounds fun :D

Karma - I still that dress would be fab on you, however, having studied it again I have spotted a downside : Dry Clean Only  I see those words on an item & I walk away :rotfl:

If you're experimenting with new looks, just find some cheapish items on ebay or in charity shops to try out different styles & colours ... you can always re-ebay them ;)

I felt I had to, really - otherwise all that research would have been wasted, no way would anything have stayed in my head :D

Sometimes I can. I don't really care that I can't do it that often or that well, Z - I enjoy when others do it, and when I show my appreciation I'm still a part of it all.

And I *fully* intend to have my wicked way, increasingly, over the course of the rest of the century.

Oh I agree it would be fab, Lula, totally. But I was thinking of practical stuff, like you with the drycleaning ... and all the stuff it says on mycapsulewardrobe.com.

Trying stuff on is a good idea - there's a lot of River Island on ebay, for instance, and its fairly cheap, so I'll have an hour or so in there when I'm well trying stuff on, so I have more of an idea what to get.

More importantly, you should enjoy it when *you* do it. Because everyone should be doing it. Makes the day brighter... ;)

No, don't do that crescendo stuff! This isn't music! Start off with a bang, and keep on banging... ;)

Hi KC, I'm another fan of the Ted Baker one, although for me, I'd not like the bow under the bust line, but I think from previous posts, you're slimmer on top, so it would work better for you. I just like the flowing look.

2 more Jon Pertwee's and a Peter Davison yesterday. Youngest DS has ordered Torchwood and at least one of the New Dr series, so will have a bit more variety if they arrive in time.

Most of the ice had melted by last night, so hoping to get out and about more today. So off out for the day shortly, so will catch up later. Good luck with the wardrobe updating. Hope the LBD is nice when it arrives.

P.S. Some stuff says dry clean only, but it does actually wash OK if you hand wash it carefully. You could post the link on old style, and see what they say based on the description of the fabric. Sometimes it's the manufacturers playing it safe.
