No, don't do that crescendo stuff! This isn't music! Start off with a bang, and keep on banging... ;)

Sounds fun allthis clothes shopping I agree with Lulas choice and to go a auburn/brunette shade for hair.
Per una do some lovely stuff as well.
I'm like you wouldn't know what suited me.

Oh I agree with it too. It was mine :rotfl: but I have to think of what I want to wear on that specific day first of all. Just at the moment.

Good luck with the wardrobe updating. Hope the LBD is nice when it arrives.

Thanks! I think that was a bargain. There's a lot more stuff to go - several pairs of jeans are only still here because they fit me at slightly different sizes, but quite a few of them have frayed seams, or actual holes, so I really really need some new jeans.

P.S. Some stuff says dry clean only, but it does actually wash OK if you hand wash it carefully. You could post the link on old style, and see what they say based on the description of the fabric. Sometimes it's the manufacturers playing it safe.

Very true, and a good tip - those OSrs will sort me out :):T

I would've thought of yesterday as a waste in my previous incarnation - looking at clothes sites practically all day! Its the equivalent of going round the shops of course, and so much less effort, and this is what people *do* - research what they think looks good on them and is right for what they want, find it at the best price they can, and then buy it! I've so rarely done that, and I'm really pleased I did it yesterday.

If you enjoy doing something, then doing it, and enjoying doing it, is not a waste of time.

Hi KC! I'm loving the fashion chat - you know me! I like the TB one (though it could be a bit low cut in real life?) and the fitted Mango one - but I would think you'd need a cardy for that one.
As everyone says, it's difficult when we haven't met you, I know you're tall but what is your shape? Apple, pear etc etc?

I wouldn't worry about your age, as you have chosen really lovely dresses - so why play safe and be frumpy when that's not your nature? :)
So I think that applies to the Judi Dench style tunic and trousers - if you've got the shape - flaunt it! I think provided you don't go too short or have too much arm flesh on show, your taste is spot on, so go with your instincts. (Don't you just *LOVE* online shopping?)

    Have a good day xx

Thanks macgirl! My shape - I'm 5' 6 or 7, weigh just over ten stone - I'm just coming to the realisation that my arms are not only fat but have no tone at all, and are full of cellulite, so I get what you're saying about showing arms, possibly for the first time in my life. Plus I need a serious level of stomach exercise .... as far as my shape is concerned, I don't know - wide shoulders, very wide, I still go in and out at the places you're supposed to. And yes, frumpy isn't my nature :D I'm still prone to the odd bit of leopardskin print :D tho not often, I promise, its more hippy chick for parties - I've worn trousers a little like these a few times in the past few years, including when I met Lula and Taxi and Wol:

I've just been trawling the Next online shopping sale, and realised something - I really need to sort some clothes out before I get out there. I have next to nothing that doesn't need mending, or isn't more than ten years old. Its all very well being yourself and all that, but to ignore the fact that our clothes give out messages about who we are and who we want to connect with, as well as more intangible things like self respect, is ridiculous. When we're struggling on the breadline, that stuff goes by the board (or it did for me). Now I'm heading upwards, I have to pay attention to that.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

That, I would love to see!

It sounds like you have the ideal frame to wear whatever you like - lucky you! It would be a shame to hide it in Judi Dench style tents. Defo get something fitted with a bit of shape. Let us know how you get on :)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: nicer than those, and with a modern top, honest! The stuff I've bought is on its way to me, so I'll let you know how it goes.

I *have* to go offline to eat lunch, and then I *have* to make a new diary on here - I'm v v v close to the 5,000 mark!
