Thanks for that, Dragon, yes I do - and I'm supposed to eat more hot foods, it helps in an anti-inflammatory way.

Excellent! Glad I flagged it for you then (that is one of my blogs and there are other veggie ones on there (but not that many I'm afraid!)

I know :o:o:o I felt silly as I was typing it, but its true :D

Simple pleasures are the best! I feel great because I cleared one load of things away and I can use part of my desk again!

Spot on! I will no longer have a cistern on my sofa :D and I'll be able to clear the office properly - which will create more mess till Sunday, when the floor layer comes, and everything will *finally* go in the right position. Everything will change when I have every room available to me :j:j:j

Oooh how long before everything is sorted?

KC, it is all coming together now. What a fab 2011 you are going to have in your new home.

The plumber is here! Which means the house is freezing, of course, but because the living room is now a proper room, I can go downstairs to do my cards and stuff and just have the electric convector heater on in there! Happy Days :):):)

EDIT - thank you both! Plumber will be finished today, floor layer on Sunday - the builder has to come in to do things like the soap dispenser, toilet roll holder, blah blah, but those are very minor - the really important tasks will be done by Sunday, thank heavens. So now, its roll on Christmas :xmassmile:xmassmile:xmassmile

Thanks Squizz! Its still got boxes around - with curtains, towels and the like - the curtains will go up eventually, and a lot of the rest will go in the airing cupboard - and, you guessed it, thats in the office :) which means that the office is very warm even with the heat off, incidentally.

Think I'm going to be signing off soon so I *can* go work in the living room and get warm, its getting a bit chilly here.

She's serious about that thread!!! Most of the stuff I've got has been presents, so I can cross my heart and hope to die on that one, I'm good :)

Plumber finally went a little while ago - he worked really hard! Everything looks really gorgeous, very slimline, very neat - when the floor gets laid on Sunday, its going to be absolutely beautiful! And meanwhile I have:
    - cleaned 3 windows (still got 2 big venetian blinds and two other windows to clean but I'm getting there)
    - cut down part of the ash tree that needed to go (that was a bit dangerous, tbh, and also really hurt my shoulder, but so it goes) and that will instead become my Christmas tree.
    - almost sorted out pressies.
    - started on cards.

I'm so pleased with that! Disappointingly tho, my spiffy new phone didn't turn up, and I'm freezing cold - can't get my feet warm, so while I *will* use the lounge tonight, I'll have a hot water bottle on my feet :D
