But you have you chucked any snowballs around? Or built a snowman?

No, unfortunately I'm in bed with the flu. *sniffle*

Thats a lot of snow, Z, stay warm xxx

To think in the seventies this amount of snow would be seen as a portent of bad weather on the way.

    How our attitudes change... :rotfl:

Edit - this is the last month my interest charge in France is over E100 - next month its E99.17 :D

How much has that changed with changes in the exchange rates?

Great news on the reduced interest charges. Do you think you will ever visit it? Is it on long term let or holiday let?

Oh no! I probably did blather something about it, but it was before I was in regular touch with you :( Is it just Star Wars he likes, or any of the others?

He'll watch anything that's "good" in his opinion, but said when he first saw Star Wars - it changed his life! He's a big fan, to the point that we went to Modesto in California once - hometown of George Lucas. He filmed American Graffiti there and apparently there's a statue of him. DH was gutted as no one had even heard of him :o It was like the JR Hartley advert :rotfl:

Hope you're having a good day KC :)

Well it's snowing for me. Quite heavily too. Maybe 7-8 inches since yesterday.

Maybe we'll get a foot before the weekend is out. It's been a while since we had that amount - even last winter it was very cold, but only about 10 inches of snow at any one time.

Isn't the south due some later on?

We've got an inch or so, and a few flakes keep falling. DS had built a snow lady complete with boobies :D.

You poor thing! Hope you can stay warm - I rely on supermarket deliveries when I'm ill, so I don't cook, and disposable paper plates.

How much has that changed with changes in the exchange rates?

The French mortgage is completely in euros, Z - so is the income, which provides about 50% of what I need to keep the place going, so 50% of my costs are unaffected by exchange rates.

Its a standard repayment mortgage, so the interest is bound to keep on going down - it goes down by a euro or so every month :o Its a long term holiday let - I'm not *allowed* to visit it, other than booking a holiday there like anybody else :rotfl:I do quite fancy seeing it one day :o maybe next year, if I get to Prague on the train, I'll take a detour to the French Alps :D

You and me both, KK! Tho, with it being so cold, I'd sort of like something to show for it, if you know what I mean ... and last year, I was ill the whole time - A&E type ill - so I didn't even have the joy of the first snowfall :( At the moment tho, the heating is on, I'm sitting by a radiator, and I've got a hot water bottle on my feet - can't get warm enough after being out, tho I'm slowly thawing.

My trip out was pretty successful - dumped another load at a charity shop, then went to the estate agent I bought this place from to drop off some post for the former owners, and collect some keys. They took a ta-da photo on the day I moved in - well, Wol took it for them - but never sent me a copy - I asked for one today (and they *have* sent it) but they said "what do you intend to do with it?" I might have asked them the same question when it was taken - its a pretty rude question. I've decided I don't like them, disapproving sniff :D

Then I went to Sainsbo - bought some more health stuff/Christmas stuff - e.g. I'm rubbish at using avocadoes, so I bought some cold pressed avocado oil - rechargeable batteries (no, they don't go with the avocado oil :p) - gluten free baking powder, the makings of gluten free mincemeat, soy cream, that sort of thing. And then I shivered all the way home :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
