Thank you! Do you know, its so long since I've faced that misogynistic viewpoint, I'd sort of forgotten about it :o thats dreadful. I think you're right tho, its the "dozy woman" thing - its the first time I've ever objected to the standard of a job, it makes me think that I must've let people get away with murder. Never again!

  • Hello I have just got in long day - jewellery course that went on longer than expected - quick pop to M&S for Christmas shopping - then to clinic - then back to Handforth to Tescos more shopping - but other than my two eldest (and I have just received the requested wish list from OS so that should be easy) and my OH I have very nearly finished for Christmas:j:j a few bits to pick up tomorrow after yet another course I am doing a VRQ in childcare being doing it about a year now but had time off after the little one died so this is the first course that I have done in a while and I have another one next week and when I have done the assignments I will be two thirds of the way done not bad when they give you three years to do it in so just need to see when they are running the remaining three courses and get myself booked in - not quite sure why I am doing it just wanted to stretch my brain a bit :rotfl:

KC of course you have not upset me I know it is a confidence thing. Oh I have a test to do for the census job too so that should keep me out of mischief - never rains but it pours :D:D did I say I had time to do a job must be mad ;)

    DTxx

And I keep forgetting to send your book sorry :o

Morning! I've already been for my trot around the boards, very nice. And I had a good mse evening:
    - ordered a tv signal booster from amazon, paid with vouchers earned from lightspeed.
    - bought some opaque window film, a square metre or so, for £18 to protect my privacy in the living room once the new system is up and running.
    - watched the latest "HP - Making Of" on itv player
    - **finally** did some accounts work - not much, but not much more to go now, I'm free on Monday afternoon, and I think it'll all be done then, so I'll take it to the accountant and then go buy all the health foody scrummy present things.
    - decluttered lots of exam notes and school books. I did retrieve one from the pile :o and there's a pile of other stuff to be shredded, but all in all it went well.
    - today, I've just got Lula to give me a tutorial on buying clothes on ebay :rotfl: well, I've never done it, I needed a few tips, and I've realised that just cos I'm going to be making loadsamoney on the trading, is no reason to not be canny with my money :T

    So, on to today:
    - dishwasher is on (I :heart2: my dishwasher) but I still need to wash one pan.
    - two hours paid work.
    - finish off that [STRIKE]dratted[/STRIKE] shelf in the pantry, if my shoulder will take it, I could sort the whole pantry in about ten minutes :o
    - the other physical job I'm really tempted to make time for is to collect all the slate chips at the bottom of the garden, by the shed - they're sited where I'm putting the compost maker, and they'd be a lot better off by the back door to the garden, killing two birds with one stone sort of thing. But ...
    - I *must* finish the Accounts - and I have until Monday afternoon!
    - I need to go into the town centre, to go to the bank and to order the vinyl for the office.

not touched it yet. Don't think I will today.

going to do it when my lunch has gone down :D

    I'm pleased with that!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I've just sold all *that* vinyl! I took it to a specialist record shop - I only had 30 or so, but I thought one of them might be worth something - a 1977 LP of the Star Wars music (I was always this way :D) but its in French - La Guerre des Etoiles - so no :D The whole lot was a tenner, and I gave him the ones he didn't want for free after he'd given me the tenner. At least they won't be made into plant pots :rotfl:

    Well done your list KC,

I have loads of vinyl that really should be got rid of, I just cant quite face letting go of my teenage years yet, although I was only too happy to upload CDs on to the lappie yesterday - how I love technology :D.

Right, must persevere with my own list now & this thread has introduced me to new diaries that I want to visit ...

    bye for now
    xx

Vinyl prices are funny - often things that seem really unusual aren't worth much, but a tenner isn't bad for a pile of stuff you just wanted to get rid of (and a lot easier than listing it all on eBay or whatever). Lots of mine I'd never sell though!

Oh absolutely - I hadn't listened to it since my 20s, didn't want any of it - great to get the space and have a tenner for it!

Lula - you know you want to! I'm off to do that last one on my list now, the banky-vinyly thing :) When I get back, I'm going to chase Gemmzie for the potentially yummy gluten free thing she mentioned on Hypno's thread :)
