those sound like good achievable plans...health is one of the main things to concentrate on as you say. That willbe my biggy for next year.0

At the moment I *need* to do the scrabbling stuff, which is really annoying. One Poll is the one that gets to me the most - it takes so long to get to their payout I lose interest periodically and stop doing it, then I go bck and have another go. There are hardly any surveys for me to complete on there at the moment though so I am losing focus on it again! Quidco & TCB are fine as they are so quick, and Pigsback is OK at the moment as there are plenty of CC's, but once those dry up again I'll lose focus on that too, I know.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Sorry about that EH ... I only call it scrabbling because when I really notice what I'm doing when I'm doing that stuff, I feel a bit sick, I really hate that its necessary. Extra income is still necessary for me, believe me - my income is now half what it was in the first part of this decade just gone, and I still have a lot of costs even though the English mortgage has gone. But I made a long term decision: if I'm going to make a success of the second business, I don't have the time to do the other stuff too, the mystery shopping and whatnot - the trading is about four hours a day, I can't do that and my ordinary work and the mse work too. I've often earned £300-400 a month from it, its not inconsiderable, but I need more for my pension contributions, simple as that.
I hope you can find your way through this tough patch, however long the "patch" is.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
WEEK ONE
1. MSE: money neutral, inspiring, connecting. Remember to check the GRABBIT board each day for now.
2. FINISHING OFF: Finished Toluna and pigsback. Doing Virgin and TAB scratches. Remember to do Yougov and lightspeed when I can.
3. SECOND INCOME STREAM. Nothing this week - office has to be up and running first.
4. GET WELL! This is always the most important. Actions: multivitamin and multimineral. Veggies. A 15m walk every day, with deep breathing and the sunshine on my face. Get to the X ray appointment for the arthritis. Phone my colleague tomorrow.
5. NEW HOUSE LIVEABLE. Start painting the new building work. Keep decluttering and unpacking. Work on the kitchen shelves as and when.
6. SPIRITUAL PRACTICE. Start the day reading from The Power. Listen to CD during the day. Remember to always be grateful, I have so much.
7. ACCOUNTS. This is the paperwork focus for this week, and next week too if necessary.
8. Prepare for Christmas! Erm, not this week!

Hi KC, thats a good start :j.
I havent been following MGs matrix but a 50 day challenge might be a good incentive for me. I have looked at The Secret every time I have been in Waterstones, but always put it back. I'm sure I will find it on offer somewhere ready for when I finished some of the other ones I have.0 -
Hey KC, liking the colourful plan.
With regards to the remembering to be grateful, not sure if this helps but I keep a gratitude journal and every night I write three things that I am grateful for into it. Doing it in bed just before my evenings reading means that I really think about the day and put it into perspective. This could also be part of your daily spirtual practice. It really helped me when I felt at my lowest when I was left alone (hubby traded me in for a younger family model)and not long after my Dad died. Reading back over the journal from time to time also picks me up when feeling down. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Lovely idea cherisong. It's not something I've ever done, but it's something I've often been encouraged to do
I do sometimes write on my diary here when I'm a bit glum about what I'm grateful for, and it really helps.
Loving the stripey list KC!Sounds like you've got a list of achievable goals too, well done! :T Loving all the positive goal making round here at the minute :j :j

Hiya! Thanks for that, cherisong - thats exactly when I do it too ... as you say, perspective. I like to rest my eyes by then, so not written for me, though I do recognise themes - the colour of the sky, warmth at home, a friendly cat who wants to be stroked, a positive meeting, the ability to relax .... those are the things that move me (met just such a cat today, a kitten really, *very* happy to see me
Pippajo - I bought The Power, the second one she's written, and I read a bit every morning, which DT mentioned doing. I find it suits me much better than reading it all in one go, just a couple of pages, and some time to think. I got the hardback on Amazon for £7 or so, and used a gift certificate - so free to me
As far as goals are concerned, I find I'm increasingly empowered these days by the realisation that my life really does run along, just like everyone else's, and if I want it to be filled with interesting and beautiful things and events, then I have to make that happen. Very simple, but very profound.
And thank *you*, Cheery, for the idea of the stripey list. And Pippi, I suppose, for bringing stripiness to the fore of our mse ways2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I think all of those are definitely achievable, but you have to remember *balance*.
With regard to the surveys etc. I don't mind lightspeed as they have a low payout value, get fed up with yougov every now and again as never seem to get to payout, may well stop altogether. quidco is fine as you don't really do anything other than buy differently, and in fact since I registered my debit card, I occasionally find money I'd forgotten about.
Are you going to go back to the line dancing thing? Or look for something else.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Totally agree on the balance - I still have to work at it, and of course I get it wrong too, eg all this illness.. Well, I'm learning.
I'll certainly use quidco for anything I can, it would be crazy not to really, I'm abandoning things like toluna - its taken me years to get to £15! Mutualpoints ... I abandoned that without a payout ... pigsback ... I'll be glad to see the back of that, just 200 more points to go
The line dancing! I had an email from the instructorshe has a problem with her hip, the classes are finishing at Christmas
she's keeping up Tuesday mornings at the sports centre, which isn't nearly so convenient for me, and at a really awkward time too .... I think I need to look for something else.
