I love those charity bags that come through the door, but we get so many of them I lose track and put the wrong ones out. Hardly a day goes by without one, and some of them are just 'clothing collection', with no clear idea where they are going.

I think you know what you're doing. You *are* motivated and doing it in your own *sweet time* sounds ideal :A

In the old house, I kept imagining my sister having to go through my things after I'd died, like we went through my brother in law's things last year. It was a very helpful image.

After Dad died, we told Mum to grab what she couldn't bear to be without, and my sister and I dealt with the rest. Or so we thought. We had asked her about the loft, and the garage, but she wasn't bothered as she couldn't see it. When she sold the house we discovered what a hoarder he'd been -every single school report, school book, lots of toys, numerous tools and tins of screws; my brother took one look and took it all and put it in his garage.
It'll still be there when he sells the house.

:eek::eek: I have memories of when my grandad died and it was like that - not schoolbooks so much, but screws and hooks and "makings" - he had cobbling tools, for instance, he repaired everyone's shoes, tho he worked on the river, in a gig boat. With my brother in law, it was stationary and electronic gubbins.

At the moment, I'm a bit crowded because *nothing* is in the loft :j I'm coming round to the idea that *some* things I use less than once a year - maybe three boxes in all - can go up there, plus the Christmas tree. Like Lula was saying, I'm determined to travel light - but I also need enough stuff to be able to run the house, so to speak.

    Not bad, Cheery, not bad!

I've just been working on the Accounts - ug, the level of detail! Nearly finished the mystery shopping section, anyway.

And my work at toluna has finally borne fruit :j £15 amazon voucher should be on the way, and I won't try for any more :j:j:j

Novel plan today - I'm trying to listen to my body :rotfl: which means that since I've been up since about 6am, I'm going to have a sleep soon :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:then do a bit more accounts, and maybe maybe maybe, depending on how my collarbone feels, slosh the primer coat of paint on the building work stuff.... we'll see, I'm really not sure about that one.

And now - the diaries! Let's find out what everyone is nattering about this fine morning :D

This is my version of the 50 day challenge on MG's thread that starts today Its a mix of bogstandard things that must be done and big developments that need to be in there too, if I'm to have the healthy life I want:

EDIT - didn't have Christmas in, so I put it in. And I played around with the colours, like Cheery Daff does!

    1. Being on mse for the inspiration from and connection to the community, on a day to day and a deeper level, and for the money neutral way of living my life, through deals and offers on craftwork, special occasions, days out and holidays.

    2. Stopping fiddling about with surveys and vouchers and looking at the big picture. I'm finished with toluna, butlins and mystery shopping, hurray! I'll cary on with Virgin and TAB scratches, pigsback (2818/3000 then finish) Yougov (£33/£50 then finish), possibly lightspeed. In spite of carrying on with these, to remember always to step back frequently to see the overall perspective.

    3. Getting my second income stream up and running, to provide for the pleasant, abundant retirement that I want, in the time released by (2) above..

    4. Get well! Stay well and get fit! Get some local social input and keep it!

    5. Make my new house liveable - building work finished, new flooring down. There are lots more bits, but those two things will mean I can use the whole house, not just one or two rooms.

    6. incorporate my spiritual practice into everyday life.

    7. Finish my accounts - mid November for the English ones, end November for the French.

    8. Prepare for Christmas!
