Morning Hypno :hello:
Fay, you *know* Hypno likes stalkers - she amended her sig for us, after all
I've used that line about books being good insulationyou can't fool me
I *love* books, but I've bought them in the past as though the information floods into me by osmosis..... not good
They dont??????????
OK must take these ones out of the bag and read them *before they hit the bookshelf*
Taxi what kind of things do you like reading?
I love Hypno's new avi - its brilliant.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
:money:Sleeves up folks.:money:0 -
the answer to that is everything..lol0

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:and apparently I've also been buying way too many CDs over the years as well. Just like books, I've sold loads on ebay, and here they are again. I think it was Daffs that recently had a go with music magpie, and I never have, so I had a quick swoosh around the shelves - £13.33, including two that went for £3 each. Even my CD of Stargate music went for £1.50, because its an American import (i.e. I bought it in America :rotfl:sounds good tho).
I went out for a bit of a walk and came across two ponds within 15minutes of my house, the house I've lived in for 12 years, and realised I'd *never* seen before  must do better.
My 2nd and last coffee of the day, then I'm **going** to dig up some of that cornfield. Not coming back on here till I have.
I tried to write "haven't". Oh dear....:rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well done on magpie..that's some more for the funds.0

Hi KC
Hope the "arrangements for your relocation" are going well
Sorry to hear about the funeral- sounds like it came a bit out of "left field" for you - (know the feeling
) - but having said that, regardless of what you say about being "rubbish" at friendships, I've come to realise recently that friendships don;t necessarily mean you have to be in contact every week/month or even every year...(that originally WAS my perception of what friendship meant) - But I've now come to realise that it isn;t necessarily that "prescriptive" for the people who clearly count themselves as my friends IYSWIM. (and yes, I am amazed that they are still in contact...and funnily enough - most of these luverly peeps are on MSE :T:T...and one is from my school days who I have not had contact with for the past 20 years
)
(Funnily enugh this week my psychotherapist referred back to what i said two years ago about how rubbish i was with female friends....and how actually this obviously wasn;t the case ...turns out it was only "my perception of myself " and not necessarily other peoples')
So please put the whips away Hun:D.....and pat yourself on the back. You are a lovely person who has much to contribute to a friendship - and people recognise that!!
I am proud to count you as my friend - regardless of how littleor often we communicate
xxxxx
P.S. I now have an area of the garden designated the "KC Nursery".....a few more species have been added to "The List":beer:
Flooded 20/07/07.

What a lovely post, Wol, thank you so much.... its true as well. And I'd *never* have thought of you as someone who's bad with female friends, thats just not in the ballpark. I think I've been pretty prescriptive as well, about what friendship is - thats a really good way of describing it. Time to change ....
As for the funeral, well, it was sort of expected, but for so long that we've become used to expecting it, I know that sounds a bit unusual, but ... and now, to have it actually happen, is very strange.
Great to hear of the nursery!
I'm sitting here having worked for about an hour outside - I did indeed dig up lots of the cornfield in the front garden, and I mashed up the woodwormy log basket enough to stick it in the bin.
I need to start my own KC's nursery - its definitely time. But I'm just relaxing now, after having dunked thoroughly and washed all the pollen and stuff off me.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
KC, I love it that you have a cornfield in the front garden! So sorry to hear about the funeral though
But sounds like you provided much needed support and comfort to the man.
Wol's right - friendship isn't about how often you keep in touch, and don't ever be afraid to get back in touch after a while. Sometimes sending a postcard just saying hi, how are you can be enough every few months (or even years!) if you're too sheepish to ring up. Mostly people will be delighted to hear from you, however long it's been. And you blatantly aren't rubbish at it anyway! Isn't it bizarre how messed up our perceptions are sometimes??
Well done on Magpie, by the way! I followed Fay's advce, and had Amazon, Ebay and Magpie open at the same time. Put 5 on Ebay, 3 that were going to 1p on Amazon onto ebay for 99p, and the others are in a pile. Ebay ones end on Tuesday, and if they don't sell they're going in the Magpie pile. Amazon ones I might give a week or two, then they'll be going in the Magpie pile too. Not sure I'm impatient enough to wait!0 -

:rotfl:Its currently a lot less like a cornfield, but thank you anyway

Its not till next Thursday Daffs, sorry if that wasn't clear. I've been a support at other times for him, tho, that were very intense.

I know you're rightbut I *am* rubbish, you know - in every format except the forum. I don't know why I find the forum possible to keep coming back to, but I do....

Yep, I was pleased with that - and I've only just realised how little work is involved - to sell 14 CDs on Amazon would be *so* much more work! I'm very happy about it2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Happy Monday Morning KC & all!
All that insight into the meaning of friendship left me all weepy - but in a good way if that makes sense?
Just had a nose over on your blog - very nice start - still not figured out how to follow or comment - but will have a go over the lunch hour!
... and nothin' wrong with Canadian imports - lol- that's where OH got me from
xo
RT4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)New projection - 14 YEARS 7 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 17 mths)0 -
Oh RT, thank you! Sorry it made you weepy - its true, tho, the things people go through on here are very intense, and it *is* all in a good way.
Thank you too for popping over to the blog - followers are good, absolutely! I didn't realise you were Canadian - makes sense of your avi, and maybe of your location too
I love Canada. I had the most amazing welcome over there, from everyone I came across. My only mishap was getting lost at Niagara Falls - I was looking for "Cadillac" Road for the youth hostel, and I'd actually misheard "Cataract" - I'd booked it from England, so my ear wasn't in, if you know what I mean :rotfl:
And anyway, Michael Shanks is Canadian :j Where are you from? Don't say if its too much, I just collect Canadian snippets....2023: the year I get to buy a car0
