Hooray! I will sort out the blogroll thing later, honest, just trying to build up to doing a bit of tidying first!

and as a slightly distracted aside - what on earth is it with people having enormous things delivered all the time?? I've been sat here in the kitchen for about an hour, and in that time we've had a HUGE waitrose lorry, an even bigger John Lewis lorry, and now the most ENORMOUS (like almost as big as the house) Ikea lorry blocking my entire view.

Our street is tiny, barely ten houses in it! (actually, that can't be true - we're number 14... :rotfl: but I don't think there's a 10 or 12, so maybe it is - must count one day when I'm bored) :rotfl:

    Right, tidying, THEN blog playing...

Bah - Ikea van is reversing into my lilac bush!!! I know it could do with a bit of a trim, but this wasn't really what I had planned!

Oh no! Poor little lilac bush! Is it the same people having all the lorries, maybe they're renovating? I've got it on the brain :D

Goodness knows KC - we're pretty much the poor relations on this street, the houses opposite are much posher than us - I think they're just the kind of people who like replacing things! :)

(and you wouldn't feel sorry for the lilac if you could see it - it's huge! I've been trying to persuade mr Daffs to let me cut it down for years, but he loves it - I occasionally whip a branch off when he's not here and cut the evidence into tiny pieces, otherwise it'd take over the entire street...:rotfl:) It's leaning over the pavement - higher than cars/vans - just got caught by this enormous lorry! To be honest, I was kind of hoping it would lop a bit off, then I could have used it as an excuse to give it a good trim.... Ah well! On with the subterfuge I say... :rotfl:

Got to ring garage for scary news about van now...

I love this! Gave me a good laugh - I'm shattered now, but not quite ready to go to bed - didn't finish work till 9.15, a lot of late stuff, hey ho.

Got to go - I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open :o

Yawn .... not too bad actually, especially now I'm not working at the trading - I'm doing lots of bits of jobs, though I find myself very reluctant to get started on the physically demanding ones. I wonder why that is :D I think I need another cuppa tea before anything too energetic, and anyway I'm leaving for London at midday.

I think it will be a good day, thanks Squizz - for a start, we're leaving for London an hour later than planned, cos my partner had a cancellation. Silver lining, and all that. He can go eat his lunch in the park, so we're both chuffed.

    **KC bellows** SHAUN!!!!!

I'm good, thanks. Very focussed on throwing things out before I move, tho I think I may still have to get a skip to cope with a big project in the 2nd bedroom. Still on the ball in relation to moneysaving - I'm doing 5 email mystery shops this week - and I've just found out, via one of them, that I'm nearly £50 in credit on my water bill :j
