Hi there!
Wol was very disappointed in the number of piggies - there were only two or three. Lots of tiny little birds in an aviary, half a dozen baby bunnies, which was fun, and acres of plants. It was a real education walking around the plants with Wol... loved it. She came back to the house and did a job worthy of a surveyor, with associated finances..... I'm horrified at the truth of my financial situation, actually - not the English loan, but the effect the shortfall is having. Her rough assessment of bills for repairs etc tho, was encouraging. Lots and lots (and lots) of food for thought.
Thinking here....... :think:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Wise old Wol has given a few of us food for thought
Mixed news I think? But at least "known knowns"? :rotfl:0 -

Just popping in to say hello and say I'm still alive -not managed to catch up with you and your doings lately except in passing.

"mixed news" covers it nicely  I think I've had my head in the sand recently in relation to this shortfall.Hiya KCGlad you had a fab weekend the Egyptology sounds fun.

The Egyptology was lovely - as I think I said, I couldn't quite follow it all, it assumes a level of knowledge I don't have, but I can tell that what people are saying makes sense. And I *will* follow it, eventually!
Glad you're still alive! I know you've had a lot of overtime on recently, which is great..... and thanks for the organic honey tip, I have some manuka in the cupboard somewhere, but don't use it regularly. Will do.

Must be good (if scary) to have someone else look at the situation for you, sometimes a different pair of eyes can help us to realise how things really are. Hope the thinking is productive for you!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Exactly. I've been thinking in terms of 'if this, then that'. Fine, of course, but I've been including on equal par some stuff thats just not working out yet. In my head, I've even been including an idea for a green website I've got that I haven't talked to anyone at all about. And I *know* it takes a long time to make money from anything decent on the web.........
So very, very productive thinking indeed.
S'funny tho, this week - I'm way over my minimums this week, very strange. Maybe the universe is letting me know that it *will* be okay. Fuzzy thinking to the nth level is kind of dangerous, tho..... **goes off and slaps wrist**2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Oi wol do ya fancy a wee weekend close to Glasgow ? Maybe fix my head as well0
-
She would, too! And it would be great!
Well, another day dawns.... I did a tiny wee bit of decluttering yesterday, and I'm hoping that when the binmen call today, they'll take everything - its all in the bin, I'm just being paranoid..... Then around 9am I have the builder that replaced my hot water tank calling - he never re-connected the immersion heater, and I let it go, but when he called to try and tout for some business, it finally got me to tell him, so he *should* be coming along today.
List for today:
- check out uswitch and quidco for gas and elec - I'm with that Scottish Power thing that will charge for exit after the end of September, so I must do that.
- phone one of my mystery shop companies - booked one in for Friday, and they want a phone callso a phone call they get!
- done scratches etc..... nothing dreadful there.
- hmm.... paperwork... start in properly on my accounts...........
And keep popping on to mse! :T:j:T2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
My definition of "start properly on accounts" is
- Grab paper and pen/receipts/spreadsheets
- Write up appropriate heading
- Make coffee
