    Thanks Olive, hi Shaun!

Fay - I go to London every week at the mo; by car once, and alternately by rail. Plus other events, some for work, and even to see friends  There was a work trip scheduled for Saturday, but its been cancelled.

So, a minimum of 22 work trips to London by rail. Plus 4 over half of England to see my mum - its worth a bit of fiddling around:
    22 x £3.50 saving = £77
    4 x c£10 saving = £40.
    Not a bad potential!

    :rolleyes2:laugh::staradmin:starmod:

 just seeing what intersting smileys are there that I don't often use..........

My pleasure! Doesn't really compare to £15 quidco cashback from k* jackpot!

I haven't got round to doing the physical work in the garden - went a walk round the block instead. Result:
    friendly neighbours: 4
    foxes: 0
    rabbits: 0
    purring cats: 1
    friendly dogs patted: 3

    Yay!

No squirrels - no trees, except by the houses. Cows are gone too, i think to the great big field in the sky.....

My mum lives a couple of miles away from a squirrel reserve - they eat out of your hand, its lovely.

It is, isn't it! And there might be more:
    - I've allowed £4 for the coach fare up - but 2 October is on the national express website right now for £1, for the right time of day too. I'll pop into the local office on Saturday and check whether I can book that and get on locally. If not, I may well still go into town and get on from there, it will still be cheaper. It will be important to take stuff to do, tho, cos its quite a while.
    - going to the cheap farefinder on Virgin, there are loads of fares at £11 one way to Liverpool from London. I think I can get the total down to £35, saving another £20 per year.
    Sounded like a lovely walk.
It was! I just need to do more. Or even use the cross trainer taking up half my 2nd bedroom!

  • That sounds like a good walk indeed.. I saw a fox last night when I was out for a run, it shot across the road - much faster than me! :rotfl:

Hi Squirrel! Just clicked your name to find the "more posts by" but you haven't posted on the daily thread yet. "I'm coming to get you ....." :rotfl:

Right, the list from yesterday: the only one I didn't even touch was watering the plantpots at the back, poor little things :o I'll do that first. The list for today:
    - water the plantpots at the back! You know you want to! And maybe even a bit of gardening work :o:o:o
    - have tried to print another Candia milk coupon freebie, but it doesn't want to play, and froze my computer :(
    - I have to change the batteries on my bellpush - its stopped working, I *really* hope its just the batteries of the dingdong, I have a bad record with bells..... (yes, I know, 'the bells, the bells ' :rotfl:)
    - continuing with some or all of: scanning, accounts, business paperwork.

You sound like a woman with a plan or even a woman with a list :rotfl:
