Done the mystery shop, inputted it, and got another - honestly, some of these companies writer their briefs so badly - on one line it says you must use your real details, and on the very next line, it says use a false name if you want. Daft.
Did the banking, took an old container to the Body Shop, took those tops to the charity shop, who wouldn't accept the hangers - so I put them on top of a litter bin and went off to do my banking. By the time I came out, they'd gone - they were nice and clean, and had parcel tape keeping them together, I'm glad they've gone to a new home. I'm *very* glad I'm managing to declutter some clothes.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Realised I had a bit more to update, and just quoted my list in the end:- make a list done
- scratches done
- prepare the house for viewing! I have another one today at 3pm. partly done all done.
- dump old bottle at Body Shop done
- dump clothes at charity shop done
- go to the bank done
- do mystery shop done
- go to Asda - cornflakes, pesto, I think I deserve a bar of chocolate. done - also treated myself to some cheapo cheddar cheese (I normally need to eat feta) and the chocolate was McVitie's dark choc digestives - on offer at £1, not as good as Sainsbo's, but I don't care
- also think I'll take a little flask of tea with me - sit by the water and admire the sun. nope, oops.
- input mystery shop when I get home. done.
- ooh, forgot the urgent one (see, this is why I feel too busy - arrange the French tax payment. That'll take awhile, another cup of tea beckons). aha! Emailed and phoned (half a pence per minute to France! Thanks Martin! French tax authorities have extended the deadline to 4th May, so my accountant tells me a cheque will be fine. Hurray!)
I did the French cheque first thing, its winging its way to France somehow or other. Well, probably not winging, but trundling. Thats like a really depressed version of that Sylvia Plath poem - Not Winging But Trundling.
Haven't heard about the viewings of yesterday and today yet, probably a bit soon. Going to give myself a Stargate treat now.... night all. People are lovely on here.....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Sounds like everything is going according to plan KC! Keep going!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Yep, I think it is - I've kind of turned a corner in my head, about life being more important than plans, and really taking on board how life is finite.... it makes a difference.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Sounds like you've been having a busy time.. you know that thing about the fear, you've made a big step getting things started with the house so you know you can work through fears.. go for itDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Squirrel! You're back! Off to your thread in a mo to find out what your holiday was like, but thank you for this comment - I've only just put these two together myself. You're absolutely right - the fear about moving house is exactly the same fear as the one about the spreadbetting.
I've made my list offline today, and I'm just working through it - not doing too badly, either, tho I might need to stop for a little snack soonactually I might be really healthy and go for a quick walk along the road.
