Fraid so! The viewing went better than the first, I think. Its a couple wondering whether to take on a project for their next house or not - she liked the fact that I have not only a drive (kind of!) but a garage too. And the garden at the back looked a lot better than it did last Thursday, you can *see* more of it.
I don't feel like I've done much else, tho I think I've done most of what I wanted to. I've got a tricksy thing to do tomorrow to pay a bill in France, but it should be okay, it'll just need time.
Printed out the stuff for a complicated mystery shop too. And I decluttered ten tops from my chest of drawers! Now that, I'm really pleased with2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi glad the viewing went well, sounds hopeful anyway. Hope you get the boiler sorted, cant bear the thought of washing up with the shower hastle. Actually, the showerhead water wasn't quite hot enough, not the way I like it for dishes, anyway - it was back to the kettle. The other lead is being used for the laptop, so it won't get tried till later on tonight - but at least I *know* this one works2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Glad the viewing went well.
Well done on decluttering some tops..it is all getting there.
Hope trying the extension lead works for you so that it works out to be cheap solution.0 -
Damn, I wanted to boast about my decluttering of the tops, but I see I already have :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
My boiler works again! I changed the extension lead around, and hey presto, hot water, thank heavens.
The list today:
- make a list done
- scratches done
- prepare the house for viewing! I have another one today at 3pm. partly done
- dump old bottle at Body Shop
- dump clothes at charity shop
- go to the bank
- do mystery shop
- go to Asda - cornflakes, pesto, I think I deserve a bar of chocolate.
- also think I'll take a little flask of tea with me - sit by the water and admire the sun.
- input mystery shop when I get home.
- ooh, forgot the urgent one (see, this is why I feel too buy - arrange the French tax payment. That'll take awhile, another cup of tea beckons). aha! Emailed and phoned (half a pence per minute to France! Thanks Martin! French tax authorities have extended the deadline to 4th May, so my accountant tells me a cheque will be fine. Hurray!)
Hope everyone has a good day.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Good result on the deadline for French tax...just need to remember to send the cheque.
Sounds like you'll have a lovely day today and a nice flask of tea sat by the river contemplating life sounds lovely.0 -

I had to run away from the computer  a bee decided to make its home in the living room, so I had to vacate to give it time to go.... note to self - once the flowers near that window are open, don't try to do the spreadbetting with the window open - it will end in tears
.
Glad its not just me who's not a fan of bee's

It didn't quite work out that way, the boring stuff took much longer than I thoughtbut I still enjoyed being out in the town in the sun.

Yep, all of that is :j:eek::j:eek::j:eek: isn't it :rotfl:the good and the bad. Since I've already confessed I didn't actually get to sit and contemplate, I'll also confess its not a river - its the English Channel, I really am that far southAs for rivers - well, I'm used to the Mersey - its **big**. If you fall in the Mersey at high tide at Liverpool itself, you probably won't get out.

I'm really glad you're going for the business proper.... sounds great. The last I remember is a containerload of stuff from HK.
Great to hear about SGU - look out for the episode called 'Human', thats the one Michael Shanks is guest starring in, in a flashback. I'll say no more, in case you don't like spoilers.... :j2023: the year I get to buy a car0
