Thanks for the links, Taka! Lovely properties in Edinburgh, and that stone is so beautiful. Some areas of Liverpool and Southport are built in a very warm sandstone, really gorgeous.
The diverse list of proper jobs - thats always been my problem  what would I like most of what does appeal, tho they take me in such different directions. If I hadn't failed all my science O levels, of course, we wouldn't be having this conversation - I'd have been a rocket scientist working for NASA in Florida, and then I'd have gone to the Mojave Desert to work on the private sector spaceflight industry there:D:D

Ooh KC moving to the North West would be fab you would not be too far away but I can understand why you would have misgivings - but you would get so much more for your money - choices lovely but hard too - nice to have the freedom to choose though

Hi DT! To tell the truth, if I stopped what I'm doing now completely, Formby wouldn't be my first choice
I'd be much more likely to bum about in Spain, France, Greece or Canada.....

Glad you understand! I'd keep hold of a property in England, of course, and rent it out ... it might even be one in Formby, though just for the height above sea level, I doubt it.
My little shopping trip yesterday was good - stocked up on gluten free pasta from Tesco, using the clubcard money I pay in each month, so no actual cash gone out, tho it is *real* money of course. And I popped into a BHF shop - completely forgot about the whole bag hoo-ha, I'd seen a book of interviews I wanted to read, for only £2.50 not £20 or so, so I got that, and a stash of larger sized knitting needles, often difficult to come by, for £1 total for 5 sets, v pleased. Glad now that I didn't pay for the big sets on ebay from China, even tho they are bamboo.
Today, I'm off out in the evening, so I don't want to tire myself out too much, but I do need to do the path at the top of the garden, and hopefully get the weedsuppressant membrane down, as I posted on Fay's thread. Got a few books to list on Amazon as well. Other than that, I think I may actually do some lolling around, after I've done the daily mail comp for the French house, that is!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Done my Amazon listings, stacked a few others for ebay, and put one to the charity shop - a copy of The Women's Room, which is falling apart, and which did its duty long ago!2023: the year I get to buy a car0
