Thanks both! I haven't yet registered with every single one
I was trying so, so hard to arrange two viewings for today - trying to coordinate my mum coming down from Liverpool, my sister from East Grinstead, and me coming up from the coast, but it didn't work - one seller has leukaemia, so can't really take viewings at 24 hours notice, and the other house, "the big one" as I've called it, is so popular that the EA will only accept you for a viewing if you have a firm offer on your house  the atmosphere is quite hot in HH at the mo  So I've arranged a viewing for the little one, the little semi, next Thursday, and for the rest, we'll see.
I had 3 viewings here yesterday, and another one today, so thats 5 altogether this week. So this morning I have to prepare the house for another viewing, do a *different* sort of cleaning in the 2nd bedroom where my mum will be sleeping, and get myself to Three Bridges - rail replacement buses are happening today, and on such a busy line, I'm not happy about my mum negotiating that on her own, she gets a bit scared in that sort of crowd.
I'm doing what I can!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
It is good news that you have lots of viewings on yours - I am sure that you will soon get an offer or two in, then you can start looking more actively at possible purchases.

Have a great time with your family.
Sounds like yours will sell quite quickly and it's nice to see plenty of movement in the housing market.0 -
Hope all the viewings etc. are going well. Agree with most of the others, you don't need the hassle of lots of work, if its the sort than can be done quickly, in one go with spare money then fine. Ooh KC this is really exciting can't wait for updates on the viewings I am sure you will be sold soon and that the perfect house will pop up just in time.
Take care of yourself as well as the house!

Hiya! Well, I double counted one viewing, and another was cancelled, so not quite as good as it seemed at first. But the house is in the local papers for the first time this week, so we'll see what that brings. The feedback so far is predictable - too much work in the house, the garden's too steep. Hey ho.
Erm. What I may do is take back the overpayment from the mortgage and use it to put central heating in, chase it into the walls. Still, the place has been on the market for less than two weeks, so I'm waiting a bit. Still going to see the little house in HH on Thursday, and doing what I can here - cleared the steps in the middle of the garden, and nearly all the path above it. Bit by bit ....
As for the perfect house popping upfrom your mouth to God's ear!
