KC, if you saw £3.54 lying in the street - would you pick it up

See - it really IS a decent amount of money!!!

And you are paying that much off EXTRA each month :T

Ooh, KC, you went and got a new diary while I was AWOL. Go you!!!

Sadly I don't have the time to read all 8 pages of it so far...any highlights that I'm missing?

There are some peeps on here that post replies to peoples rants and wails and their posts are perfectly formed and perfectly supportive (KC does, so does Hypno) and they say the most helpful of phrases. I wish I could be so eloquent. Their posts keep me sane and lift my spirits when I'm struggling

    :o:) Thank you! **blushes**

:j Absolutely! I had no idea how much it would be, I'd not assessed it before - I'm quite chuffed, actually, thats a sight better than 0.1% interest or whatever's available these days

I coped pretty well with London yesterday - started getting a froggy throat by about 8pm, that was okay. I came home via Victoria, not London Bridge, cos of the way I had to travel up, and got home half an hour earlier - its a couple of pounds more expensive, but half an hour after such a long day makes quite a difference, I might do that regularly in future, I'll see.

Today - the fridge is set to defrost, the freezer compartment was completely snowed in ..... I have to go food shopping - I'll buy some cheap bus tickets before I do that (40p cheaper than buying on the bus, thats .... um ..... an 11% saving. Ooh! Didn't realise it was that much. Deffo then. And generally just get the house into shape a little bit, so that when my sister arrives tomorrow to help me with the garage, her jaw doesn't drop!

She's a good person, and she knows me, her jaw wouldn't really drop, but it would be nice to live in a little bit less of a mess.

My business partner just rang - there's a seminar on today that *I* told *him* about - rats. I'm not going to go, I'm not *that* well. Thats my excuse, and I'm sticking to it.

Have a good day all! Just off to fetch my brekkie, and have a mooch around the threads....

Thanks El! I'm quite a bit better, actually - and believe it or not, I'm taping the Harry Potter Kids on Sky at 10.30 :o I want to be out by then .....

I'm going to start hitting the vitamins, tho - especially now I'm eating more carbs and fewer fruit and veg to be kinder to my stomach, I probably need them.

I've just had the *oddest* late afternoon :) I followed my nose as far as what I feel like doing to get myself and my house in gear - and spent about an hour trailing around trying on clothes, from fancy dress pieces I've worn once or twice, through skirts from my 20s that I loved, to a figure hugging dress that I wore only 3 years ago (about which my lovely mother was kind enough to say that my friends were lying to me when they complimented me  nice, huh?).

Anyway, quite a few are chucked out, some more are put aside to wash and see where it gets them, and others are sorted properly - result is more space, and more accessible clothes.

There's one piece that I wonder if its worth any money - I bought it about 15 years ago; its not couture, but the seams are hand-sewn. Its not 1950s flare, so it must be 1960s chic. Does anyone have any idea what that goes for these days?
