  • The list thing is working then?

I have a notebook and write a list of tasks to achieve between Popeye visits. It not only is "thrilling" to tick things off, it is also rather satisfying to have a look back at previous lists and realise how much I have managed while he's been away :D

Yes, it is - I find I kind of have to spread it over two days to get it done, and then it gets a little subsidiary bit, but thats okay. You have a longer time frame between Popeye's visits, but it still works.

My "room by room" lists aren't working terribly well, two reasons:
    - themes seem to work better for me - blitzing on tidying, or the garden, something.
    - I work best by going with what I fancy - like, getting the garage a bit straighter really appealed to me *that* day, for some reason - and I got a real result. If I'd forced myself to do more work in the bathroom, I don't think I'd have achieved as much.

The other issue is that I have to be really careful of my fingers - they hurt when I've done much physical work, I'm afraid I have arthritis. A couple of fingers have swollen joints - just made an appt at the doc's to get it checked out, if its rheumatoid, I'm in trouble. Hey ho.

I like that, Shaun! I couldn't put Friday as the day, cos I work in London usually, but I love the principle of it ....

Just posted off my Amazon sale - £1 net "profit" to be set against the original purchase price of £5 or so ... ah well. We live and learn. Hopefully it won't be delayed too long by the strikes.

I've just been trying to book two seats between Liverpool and East Croydon for me and my mum between Christmas and New Year - its my return journey, her outward journey, and the whole point is to get reservations so we know we can sit together, and she won't worry. They've released the seats, but not the reservations. Very frustrating. I got up to my Verify by Visa password before I realised I had a problem, luckily I didn't actually buy anything. Went onto live chat, who couldn't help. I'll just have to keep trying, every day.

It is, I have to say. Never mind, there's still a long way to go. I'll just keep checking every day.

Just done my mystery shop, got to wait for documents to arrive now. Off to find some surveys and whatnot....

Just seen the anti-arthritis tip onyour thread! Ta muchly!

Doesn't really feel like I've had a productive day - at least my cold is no worse, tho I'm tired. Even so, I think I'm going to go out and stagger round the block to get some fresh air - I don't want to *do* anything, but I think I need to get out.

    See you later
    xx
