Hiya! I'd *love* to do that. If I can get this house stuff sorted, I may even have the chance
My posting stopped abruptly yesterday because I zoomed up to Haywards Heath to see 3houses, as I thought  morons at Fox and Sons were more interested in seeing my accounts  to put me on their VIP list than showing me anything for sale AGAIN sorry about the caps, I'm really mad with them. I did see the inside of the house I did a walk-past of last week, and it was really nice inside, but I *think* the living room was too small - and to be honest, its still really early in the whole process. I'll have a think about that, but there's another one on today thats gorgeous, and a real possibility. Hey ho.
Today, I'm working on getting rid of papers - stuff I've brought home from my travels - too many old maps and out of date leaflets, tho I'm keeping most of it - tho this afternoon I want to clean the inside of the porch, which is disgusting.
I need to get my fix of the diaries, so I'm off again - hope everyone is having a nice Easter.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I'm starting to get really hungry, so I have to go do some lunch now, but I just found this in the last 5 mins of decluttering - its the exam questions for my membership of the Institute of Export, back in 1979 and this is a question I actually answered: "Gnomecharm in Dulwich buy 25,000 cases of garden elves from Kitchmake in Taiwan, CIF Tilbury, and instruct their bankers, Chequemate, to open a confirmed irrevocable credit for the purchase price in favour of Kitchmake. When Chequemate receive the documents, the bill of lading has been claused "2(two) cases not received" and the invoice refers to "garden pixies". Advise Chequemate.":rotfl::eek::rotfl::eek::rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Wow KC I hope that made some sense to you, it sounds so complicated.!! I think I would have cried getting a question like that. I did the typing and accounts etc that was enough for me :rotfl:
Good luck on clearing the porch and with the general house hunting business. Enjoy your weekend.Visa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. Loan 2 €29,590 now €0 as of 22/02/2016 Mgage €55000/ €23,639 at 01/02/18

Hi turfy! Well, I did pass well, so it must have at the time
typing was a relief after all of that tho, let me tell you :rotfl:
I'm freaking slightly about the househunting - the preliminary HIP I've seen on my house is terrible, and the type of house I want in the area I want it is *very* thin on the ground - and I've never bought and sold between towns before. Its all a bit more complicated than I've done it in the past.
Still, my estate agent is confident, I must hold on to that.
Have a good one yourself!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well, I've done a *lot* of the papers - decluttered a nice thick pile of non essentials, and kept a lot too - but at least it will all go comfortably in the box when I move, rather than me needing a subsidiary box to stick the overflow in
I didn't do the porch, oops - but I did do lots in the garden just after the terraces. There's a lovely set of semicircular steps, which had got really overgrown, and covered in clutter to boot. I haven't completely finished this either, but I have done about 80% of it - there are still a few problems with it, but its a lot cleaner, neater, not as overgrown, and *pleasant* - plus I got rid of a lot of dead overgrowth from last year. I'm really, really happy with what I've done.
EDIT :eek::eek: my house is live on my estate agent's website And on rightmove. omigod, omigod, omigod. I'm going to have to finish the washing up every time I leave the house :eek::eek:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning! Well, I've tidied away all the paperwork that was out from my trip down memory lane - disappointingly, it only just fits into the box, tho there's some I haven't sorted (before, it was overflowing). Its better, its definitely better.
Just got to clean the loo, do the dishes and take the recycling down to the garage before I go out - I'm sure there won't be any viewings today, the house can only have gone onto the websites on Thursday evening, but I want to get into the habit of leaving it so that I can just do a quick 15 minute runaround to make sure its not too bad.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Glad taht it's on rightmove and stuff so may be sold soon..you are doing great with tidying the garden and decluttering papers etc..go you.
Your egg sounds lovely x0 -
Thanks Taxi - I didn't actually leave the house in a fit state to be seen, yesterday, but I figure I'm still in training for that
it'll do. I've just done some rejigging of duvets, so that the showing will be easier - had to tidy up my airing cupboard in the process, so its all good
and one clump of spare material from this that and the other is now packed in a cardboard box in said immersion cupboard, ready to go
I was in bed *really* early last night, and I'm still tired today - I think I'm finally realising that this going to bed early lark could be quite importantso I'm going to do it. And apart from looking after myself, I'm not going to do anything else today - I do have to go back to work on Tuesday, after all, tho its not too bad.
I'm liking the thought of early nights2023: the year I get to buy a car0
