Oopsie. Didn't go to bed for a couple of hours after that post above, that was *really* dumb. Anyway, just got 100 Nectar points for telling Sainsbury's about my insurance renewals, and I had a 1000 point voucher last month, so that bumped the total nicely.

And I've just been reading about hair dye on here.... remember I was planning to dye my hair over the Christmas holidays, before I got sick anyway? Somebody on that thread mentioned coffee grounds - so I'm going to try that, as a make-do measure - haven't got the energy to go into town to buy dye, and anyway, I'm *not* going to buy it before the day I'm going to use it - its a huge failing of mine, to buy the raw materials for plans I've got, and then never do the plans.

Another way I'm trying to get back to normal is to recover some dry cleaning (the first for years!) that I put in while I was ill - my sister drove me there - its been in for almost two months, and I'm finally well enough to contemplate the walk there (about 20 minutes one way). Just phoned them to make sure they're open, but no reply :( I'll phone again in a bit, as they might only open at 10am, after all.

  • Good luck with getting that back KC - you'll probaby feel shattered after the walk but better for it. I expect they'll be glad to be rid of the cleaning too! :D

Morning all - I've been pottering about on the diaries already - and oops, I've just noticed the time. I've been making a list of essential stuff to do before I contact the estate agents again - counting the open letter to clients, it comes to 24 things  some are comparatively minor, others bigger (clean the windows, for instance) - basically, it comes down to better presentation or clearing away so that the house can be seen. I've been focussing on the decluttering, but actually now its the cleaning that needs to be ramped up, darn it (she said, ever so mildly). A lot of it is things that a lot of people regard as normal (like cleaning the insides of the windows - the new ones have been in for 3 years now,and I've never done them :o). Hoist with myown petard, as they say.

Hope everyone is doing well - a quick break now fora bit of the perennial washing up, and I'm back on the boards.

I never got into BSG Shaun - I wish I had, but when I'm rich I'll buy the DVDs! Don't worry for now, but thank you for the offer

I know :rotfl: The list is now up to 34 items, by the way :rotfl: not all are essential, by any means. Its all about making the place easier to see, or taking care of the easy/no cost fixes. The plan is still to call the estate agents in end Feb/beginning March, we'll see how it goes.

Yep, I was pleased about that - don't know when I'll wear the thing, its very wintery/ Christmassy looking, it might just be ready for next year now :)

Today ... got a couple of emails I need to write, I've sold a book on Amazon for a nice profit so I need to post that, and I must do the next bit of the French accounts. I've taken the morning off today, because I had a **social** event last night!!! Hurray! I've almost got my life back :)

Hope everyone else is having a nice life - off on the boards now to have a look.
