Morning.... well, here we are, end of January, and I've been thinking deep thoughts, prompted by me, my sister, hypno, you name it, I've been thinking about it. No real conclusions, apart from falling back on old chestnuts - "life is hard" - that sort of thing, but I'm determined to do what I can to make it *less* hard for myself. Including going back on a wholefood type diet - all the jaffa cakes on here got me off the straight and narrow, guv, honest - and also more exercise (difficult at the moment, with a post-viral thing going on).
I didn't go to my sister's do last night - someone stepped in, so the teams weren't unbalanced, and she's just rung to let me know everything was okay. So I *did* go to my Egyptology thing, which was a single 20m bus ride away. Irritating bloke giving the lecture tho - he was giving his information backwards in time, and not saying his thesis about his subject matter (the bee in ancient Egypt) till the very end, like those irritating tv documentaries that peaked a few years ago. The arrogance of that approach irritates me tremendously, but ah well, and never mind, worse things happen at sea.
Today is deffo an indoor kind of day, with it being so cold outside, tho what I'll probably do is take some of the paint tins congregating in the kitchen down to the garage - gives me more space in the house, tidies things up. Its all a cunning plan to get ready to sell.... I might even type out what I've been handwriting over the last few weeks in my spare moments, which is my CPD submission. And ring the Inland Revenue to check that that money has arrived and I'm not going to be charged.
A quick round up on here, and its off to wash the dishes (and a bookcase, decluttering dontcha know)....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Victory is mine, sayeth the Karmacat! I have done *all* the washing up, and I've also washed down the bookcase (which was mouldering in the garage) and put it up in the 2nd bedroom to dry out for a few days. Sitting at the lappie with a cuppa tea, to email my American cousin now.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Think January has been a thinking month for a lot of people.
Well done on getting the housey jobs done.0 -
There's nowt wrong with thinking, as long as you don't get so caught up in thinking that you end up not doing!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Oi! :rotfl: today I have:
- done 3 days washing up.
- had a bath and washed my hair (which *was* a job, sadly)
- cleaned that bookcase of garage-type spiderwebs, and put it to dry.
- tried to do some surveys, but got screened out.
- swept the floor in the kitchen and the hall
- scrubbed the kitchen and hall! And therein lies my problem:D:D:D
Too much thinking not enough doing:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Thats *usually* me :rotfl:Another *doing* thing today is that I'm going back onto regular ibuprofen for a bit, my ribs are hurting again, not just about today, but its getting worse and worse again.
EDIT: Oh. I've just realised. Anybody who reacts to above statement by listing what they've done *does* usually think so much that they don't do what they need :eek::eek::o:o:o:D:D:D:eek::eek::eek:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Please go back to the DRS incase you have another chest infection lurking. It does take a long time to get over.
You've got loads done there....go you..perhaps time for a rest now.0 -
No, don't worry Taxi, honestly - I recognise the pain (its only a little one) - I tore the rib muscles pretty badly, in fact I must have ripped them to shreds - and you use them to breathe, after all. They couldn't do anything directly for me when I was in agony - now, when its hardly anything more than an ache, its frankly not worth the time.
But I appreciate you worrying!:kisses3:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
OH..that's good then...LOL.
Don't be over doing stuff too much though and hopefully the pain killers will suffice.0 -
Thanks sweetie! I don't *think* the stuff I did today was a problem, I just think the healing is still going on. It was the doctor in A&E who told me to take the ibuprofen, and how, and that was 5 weeks ago. So I stopped after 3.5 weeks... hmmm, maybe thats not quite enough time for such a well-used, and well-ripped muscle. Off to get the ibuprofen........2023: the year I get to buy a car0
