 Evening all .... not too bad here. Two of my sessions today were delayed till next week, so I'm done for a few days. I did get out to sniff the fresh air, but not to do anything else - in fact, I went to bed at one stage. I was trying to watch that history of chemistry on BBC4 just now, but I can't concentrate, so I'll watch it on the web during the next few days - and I'll watch Mock the Week or something now :)

The only remotely dfw thing I've done today is that when I've been lounging about, I've gone through a magazine file of old papers - chucked out at least an inch in thickness of A4 papers..... its the old chestnut, I won't pay to transport stuff I don't want to the new house :)

Right, quick trip around dfw land and I'm off to Mock TheWeek .... hope everyone is well, and rellies too.

Morning .... I'm lounging around a little bit today - I am *so* happy I'm not working in London today - every other weekend, I have my weekends back! Woo hoo! I think also, I'm happy because I'm actually going to get out of the house - I'm off to a local little town, not my main town centre, because I need to visit a particular building society so I can pay for the skips the builder used (which I put on a credit card). That lets me finally go to a Waitrose to get some Waitrose pesto - thats my equivalent of a Jo Malone candle! I haven't had any for weeks, sob ....... mind you, there's a Wilkinson's right next door, so I'll pop in there too.

I'm really focussed in the house on getting things tidier in the rooms I live in - its *so* depressing, literally, to be living the way I do. Some of it at the mo is about changes I'm making - the chest of drawers I threw out, for instance, is replaced by an old bookcase I had in the garage. It sat in the kitchen for a week, now I've cleaned it and had to let it dry, which has taken about 5 days - so when thats stacked up with the CDs that were in the chest of drawers, lots of things get tidied away. And so it goes........

Nice to see you relaxing a bit and that you are getting your Pesto...
Good going on the decluttering/sorting.All little bits add up to a big job.I only ever do my decluttering in bits as it's too big to do at once.

Hi folks.... Hypno, I'm not surprised you're not posting much anywhere else - I can still feel the good vibes tho. Taxi, I chomped away at my lovely pesto today, it was great. The visit to the local town sadly wasn't quite up to snuff, as Nationwide were being complete pains - only rescued from the manager's stupidity by a clerk, who was both efficient and sensitive. I might still write the complaint letter I was composing on the bus home, because the clerk should also be complimented..... hey ho.

Anyway, did a bit more clearing of files - mostly on the purchase of the French property, lots of drafts and one-line letters accompanying receipts, that sort of thing, that can go without losing the sense of the thing. And it took all of 3 minutes to stack all my music CDs in the now-dry bookcase - that makes things look a bit tidier up there. There's now definitely a *lot* of crap in the kitchen that has to go to the garage.

I must remember not to try to get the place picture perfect - it'll never happen, and I don't have the time, and I'm not that sort of houseowner anyway :) - people just need to be able to see the place and its potential properly.

I think I'd better go to bed! G'night all

    xxx
