Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Erm, as the Star Trek actors say, when asked how the artificial gravity works ... "very well thank you!".

The list is long - tidying/cleaning/the garden, the garage/miscellaneous, which includes writing an open letter to clients. And I haven't done a single item on it today :o Well, I was out in the evening yesterday, for the first time since November - I'm entitled to a day off (except, that argument breaks down, I haven't done any paid work since Thursday, oops).

I'm just getting to the end of some fantastic fanfiction, an SG1 author called Synecdochic. Very gritty, very tortured, very *long*, so I kind of declared today a holiday. This is the warning she put on the beginning of the story I'm reading:

"(This story contains: dubcon, death, physical injury, physical injury that managed to even make me shudder, violence, murder, psychological horror, that creepy feeling down the back of your spine that comes from watching someone go quietly insane, the relics and remnants of too many spy novels, and the entirety of Western Canon put in a blender set to frappe. Beware of !!!!ing snakes.)"

Don't you just love that? And I have no idea what dubcon is, and I've just read the story

    Normal service resumed tomorrow.

'fraid so, Taxi! :) And you specially are at that time of night! I was in beddybyes....

This morning - well, back to business. I've printed out the packing slip for the Amazon book, fetched the book, all is on course, I'll post it this morning.

Otherwise, I'm cleaning out the kitchen drawers, and clearing up the dvds - thats kind of not on the list, but fiddly little things I can do before I start going properly. What that kind of thing does is give me less boxes and stuff to move, as well as making the house look clearer and more accessible.

Plus after reading Benben's diary last night, I hopped on to the Nationwide mortgage calculator.... even at my low level of income, if I repay my Northern Rock loan from the sale of my house, they'll lend me £80k!!! I only want at max the same as I have now, tho I might be tempted if it looks like it might be a forever house. We'll see.

Right. Brekkie, then onwards and upwards.

You're getting there KC.It's finding a place to start with this decluttering/tidying lark. The mortgage stuff looks good as well..it's nice to know where you're at when making these plans and what options are available..so all looking good.

It sure is, Taxi, you're right. I've just found a stiff handbrush under the sink I can use to clear the path of leaves (they're a bit congealed in the corners, a normal brush won't do it) and the "compost" can then be used to fill gaps left when the retaining wall was built.

I really didn't have much energy yesterday, so it was a question of just doing the basics and lounging about conserving energy. I'm still stuck at the "tidying" level, but at least I'm tidying.
