Oopsie ... bit more to do on the French stuff - realised I hadn't scanned the mortgage info, and then quite a few of the scans have to be printed, so the info will be going out next week now. Thats okay, as long as its by Wednesday, it'll be fine.

Today, I was chuffed with myself, I have to say - I managed to do a third item on my list of things-to-do-before-I-get-the-estate-agent-in: I got everything thats supposed to be in the garage in the garage! It was still more than I thought - I put the strimmer down there too. It all took half a dozen trips, amazing. So between that and the extra bits on the accounts, I'm really pleased.

And when I came back online just now, I got a free Ideal Home ticket, thanks to Martin - my idea for a green website is still in the back of my mind, and this time when I go, I'll do some proper research.

    Well done you :T

Ideal Homes sounds good - we stumbled on a "Green Your Home" exhibition/ talk the other weekend (in same church hall as the farmers market), advice on how to make your house more environmentally-friendly, seemed to be quite popular.

    Any plans for the weekend?

Sigh .... going to the shops will be about the most I can manage.... my mum and my sister are driving down on Monday to see me, so thats sort of a long weekend. I'm going to try to do the next "tidying" thing on the list before they come down, the visible stuff anyway (i.e. in the kitchen) - repotting plants, and chucking the basil.

Today, I'm off to London, in the car, so it'll be comfy. Tho it also means even less than usual is doing, dfw-wise and tidying-wise. I wasn't able to resist looking at rightmove this morning tho, and there's some nice ones on there for me, as low as £220k, tho that one would need a bit of tarting up.

Thanks Turfy! The reason I'm doing so much clearing is that I didn't do any for years :o in fact, I got into selling on Amazon before I had any money problems, because I was sidling around all the bookcases full of books and specialist magazines - and since I live alone in a 3 bed house, you can tell that it was quite cluttered :rotfl:

I got a bit of a reprieve today - when my sister comes to see me on Monday, she's doing some shopping for me, so I don't have to go out today :A (= you are wonderful, sis).

So today, I'm going to tidy up this morning (i.e. put the washing away, stuff like that). Nothing big. I did *not* feel good yesterday in London.

    Off to do the scratches.

EDIT - ha, just done a Tesco shop online (I can't ask my sister to get *everything* :o) and discovered another way Tesco's is trying to diddle us: there's an offer on for Quorn bangers, 3 x 250g for £5. But the normal price for the Quorn fillets is 312g for £1.80 i.e. 3 x 312g for £5.20. Thats a lot more Quorn for only 20p more! I only got two lots, actually, no need to get 3. Ha :D

And I was good at shopping yesterday too: gluten free pasta reduced from £1.48 to £1.11 in Sainsbury's, and a half price offer on McVitie's choccie digestives - I bought the Sainsbury ones by mistake but looked at the receipt, as I am prone to do these days :D and they changed the item and gave me my 41p refund no problem.

Right ... a no-spend weekend was good, tho bad because I didn't have the energy to go anywhere/do anything. Still, got to find the positives....

Finally explored a business site I get emails from - its heartofbusiness.com - really interesting, because its got a *lot* of free content - he charges for the odd group, but the main thing he charges for is 1:1 coaching. Its started met thinking. And I looked at a few sites about bookselling on the web, which is another long term idea - not just my own tut on amazon, but trawling auctions and whatnot. There's a bloke who lives near my mum who does exactly that, and since there's a book auction next month near me, on a day that I'm free, I'm going to pop along (assuming *some* energy is back with me by then) to have a looksee.

I've got some paid work in the evening today, and my mum and my sister are visiting around lunchtime today, so its really a question of making sure the place is okay for them (which helps it be okay for me) and whatever paperwork I can do. Ug. I can *feel* the energy drifting away from me as I type that :(

Basically, I want to lol about and not do any work. Is that so wrong :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • I just want to LOL too- i have zero energy this morning.

I think it is through lack of sleep :( although i did have a bit of snooze early doors. I can't nap during the day unless i am poorly, so just keep going. I am still in pyjamas and dressing gown too. :)

LOL, I've just this minute come back from getting washed and dressed :) visitors here by midday, so I have to be, really.

There *are* some ideas around, aren't there.... real focus is actually on getting the energy flowing properly. I know its there, its just not *here*.

Well, I have some energy back this morning - and I've used it to print out all the scans of documents for France - my French accountant doesn't return documents  took me a while to figure that out.

I just have to find one proof of a small sum paid to the French tax people, apart from the main payment that is, and add everything up into their 3 line form, write the envelope, and I'm done. I can't believe it! Its due end of April, so while they've sent me the first reminder, its not too bad.

Otherwise today, I've got a Tatco delivery coming. I've got a few admin bits to do - visa payment, email, blah blah.

And tomorrow, with being free from accounts and whatnot, I will start on the rest of my life! Of course what that means in practise immediately is that I'll start on this year's English accounts - I've just realised, that if I move house, its going to severely interfere with even my normal late routine, and it could end up being as bad as this year if I don't watch it - so I will watch it, and I'll aim to get 09-10 accounts done by, um, 1st July, sooner if the house sale seems to be going through.

I hope everyone has a good day.
