Its true - just how much they've been hanging over me is amazing. Wasn't it Taxi who's set up a regular time to do her accounts? I'm going to keep it up too, this has been appalling, both sets of them. And because I've been so ill, its all been magnified, bah.
But at the moment I don't care - I've finished my accounts, tra-la!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Thank you! Its also making me wonder if quite a bit of this illness hasn't been psychosomatic - i.e. just not liking my life very much. Now that the admin I loathe is over, its a question of keeping up to date with the tax year thats about to finish, so I don't get that low again, and give myself more outings, at the weekend and during the week if I can - after my brother in law died last year, I let myself get so low, I think I must have just forgotten to look after myself for months.
No more! Today is my New Year!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
It was me KC with the accounts.I decided I had to do something about mine as I was the same as you in putting them off.I have kept up with them and they only take about 5 mins per day now.The system has worked really well and I'm so pleased that I'll not have that dread again.0

Hi Taxi, I thought it was you - and I'm really pleased to hear you've kept up with that system. While I was switching on the computer this morning (it takes ages to crank up) I got my this year's accounts out - if I can get the "incomings" mostly done before the end of the year, that will be a good start. I've got to change my systems for doing this - especially because there'll hopefully be a house move during the summer and then in the autumn I'll be revelling in the new environment!
Today, I've got:
- two hours of paid work,
- need to wash my hair beforehand,
- stuff to print out,
- a phone call to make.
- I'll fiddle about with that cash listing during the day, but then put it away completely when I stop. One really important thing about the move is I've realised how cluttered all my space has been with half-finished jobs. If I'm not doing anything more on something that day, it goes away, I really love clear lines and lack of clutter, so it has to be that way.
- I'm also going to have a walk up and down the road, nothing spectacular, just getting out into the open air and breathing. Actually, instead, I just might go into the back and do 5 minutes cutting back a bush at the top of the steps, so that I can access the rest of the garden a bit more easily.
Exciting! Well, not - but it is for me!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Nice list of jobs there. It's always good to get rid of the clutter and will be great to get it all done before you move.0

Yep, the clutter isn't far from being good enough. Not done the clothes, of course, duh!, but 7 things on my mega list are about clutter/tidying, and 3 of them are done. The others are:
- scan magazine covers; scan Michael Shanks articles and send to the official website, consign to recycling.
- sort out a cupboard near the bathroom.
- clear pathway at back of junk
- sort out clipping and repotting houseplants - thats about one third done.
Then its on to the cleaning :eek::eek:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well done KC, I know how you feel re the clutter, Im the same full of good intentions but then there is always more clutter from somewhere!
Think I may make a start on the 2009 accounts soon, it probably makes good sense to be ahead before the tax return arrives. That will come around June time so I was thinking about getting organised this year and then hopefully it wont be such a massive job come Sept/ Oct. See you have made me think positive about the horrid job.
