I think a list always helps.Do you have any french speaking friends that can help witth the interpretation or can you e-mail in english but use a french translator on the computer before sending it?EssexHebridean wrote: »Don't know if this is going to make any sense, but something I have tried to do over the last few years is use my instinct a lot more for decision making of all sorts - we relied on it when we were flat-hunting, this place was bought purely on the strength of the fact that we walked in and it felt like home. Since then, so far as possible, I have tried to follow that same course and not over analyse situations. Not sure if that's of any help, mind you! Good luck with your musings!
Oh, absolutely, it makes sense! The reason I think about things and make lists is that otherwise I get stuck in a mix of "I don't know" and "I like it/don't like it" and get a bit stubborn about it (whatever it is). Thinking hard this last month about Crawley/Haywards Heath, for example, has enabled me to refine the question - its "who am I?" - and the truth is, not only am I a person who is more likely to live in HH, I'm also the sort of person that would use Crawley to hide in - the anonymity of some of the housing there, and the transience because of the airport, that would be bad for me. So unless I see a house that I fall completely in love with, I won't go there.

Thanks Squizz - there's lots of it going on - I don't have much choice, really, because how things have been just isn't working any more. Its quite sobering, but in another way, its a fantastic opportunity.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I think I have to. Its one of those lifetime-changing situations - you do it, and you move on. You don't, and you've given up your life. Tho at the moment, I'm concerned with something *much* more mundane. Women's stuff! At my time of life! I mean, I feel like writing a letter of complaint somewhere! And wouldn't that be an interesting read :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0
