Eeek .... I've been thinking its the other way round... *not* to have vit c with iron, as it *delays* absorption.

So I just googled the two together and came up with an advice page from BUPA - and you're the one thats right, Taxi, not me. Damn, I've been doing it wrong. Okay, I have some iron tablets, I'll take those at the same time as my vit c.

Today's post will have to wait a while, I need to send an email.....

    back soon.

Hi Karma, good to hear you're looking after yourself. Yep Vit C with iron, and try to avoid drinking tea too close to meals as it can inhibit absorption (I think it's the tannin that does it) - think they advise leaving at least an hour either side.

    Ooh I love spinach :D

Big gentle hugs to you x

Not bad, not bad! I went a walk on the prom yesterday with my sister - first time I've been out of the house to do something like that for literally months! No wonder it feels better! I do feel a bit bad about this coming weekend, I was supposed to go see a friend in Crawley, but its Rail Replacement buses which means the journey will take almost two hours each way - and I'll feel sick when I get there. I just can't face doing that, I can't. And I'm still not back to doing all my work :( which I feel really, really bad about but can't see any alternative :(

You're right.... honestly, the thought of overtiring myself and getting sick again fills me with absolute horror, I couldn't bear it. Off now for a snack and to relax a bit - I really feel like I'm getting on top of current paperwork, which is also a relief. See you all later

Yes baby steps is the way to go.
Glad somebody pointed out the bit about not drinking tea at the same time as taking iron..I'd forgot about that bit.

Oopsie. Long, long gap - this weekend, its because every single ounce of energy I had was taken up by finishing off some work in London - today, I feel like a human being again, thankfully.

And during the week ... well, I'm trying to catch up on the house (half succeeding) and *thinking*, nearly all the time, about me and debt and jobs and where I want to live. It doesn't really lend itself to a diary.

So I think I'll finish this diary ..... I'll still be around on other peoples, and on challenges, but part of the reason for getting so ill was that I kept my nose down to the grindstone so much and so regularly, I didn't give myself time to think about what I was doing, which for someone like me is a real recipe for disaster.

So I'm going to think, and I'm probably going to post the result on here, and then start another diary, but this level of stuff just doesn't feel like it belongs here. Or, not that it doesn't belong, but it isn't helpful to me to post the ongoing ruminations...

People have been so lovely on here, supporting me through this illness, it sounds crazy to say that, but the kind of things I'm thinking about, for instance, are:
    - lots of emotional issues - taking part, taking action, personal responsibility, lots of issues like that.
    - career - conveyancer? administrator? public sector worker? personal/virtual assistant? business coaching? NVQ assessor? OU tutoring? teletech support? online bookshop?
    - where to live - actually, I've already done that one on here, and tho bucks-for-bang says Crawley, my heart says Haywards Heath.

So thats where I've been.:hello: And I'm off now around other people's diaries, to catch up (again)
