Worst Drivers..

I don't, and will never, understand peoples frustration with traffic jams - if you don't like them then stop driving. Reading a book on a bus or train is a great distraction.

I won't take the bus unless my car breaks down and I have no choice. I pay £60 a month each for my sons bus passes, and more often than not they have to stand for almost 20 miles until some passengers get off. They've said they've seen people standing at bus stops farther on than where they get on, and the driver has to tell them to wait until the next one comes along as his one is full (which is every hour). I'd much rather be sitting in my own car, in my own space, than standing in the aisle of the bus, or waiting for over an hour in the cold for another bus, which may or may not be full.
Our bus fares are ridiculous too. A return journey would cost almost £15, to travel 40 miles. I can use less than that in petrol. There's absolutely no incentive to use public transport here (and no trains here either).0 -
You would have to prise the steering wheel from my cold dead hands.
I dont like any form of transport that you have to check the seat for "dampness" before you sit down, or have to share the space with inane strangers with screaming brats, sullen teenagers with booming tunes and the inevitable weirdo who sits next to you and proceeds to tell you their entire life story whilst you pretend to be asleep.
Trains have first class you know.
It's nice to have seats to yourself.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

As soon as i saw the title of this thread, even before i started to read it, i knew taxi drivers would get slated.
Well i drove a black cab for over 25 yrs and yes some of them are rubbish but there are plenty of others who are worse, men; women; white vans; boy racers; police. It's the individual who is good or bad irrespective of what they do.
When i was driving my cab i probably averaged about 1000 miles a week, the average motorist does what about 8000 a year, so yes taxi drivers do make mistakes, but their licence is worth a lot to them and i think mile for mile they are a lot better than the average motorist.
I disagree.
I used to do between 1000 and 1500 miles a week, and my driving was realy bad. The more miles you do the lazier you get, and complacency creeps in, which is when the mistake come....
I hate taxi drivers and bus drivers, I have been almost ran off the road twice this week by them.....
Oh and I don't hang my elbow on the window any more I have leather arm rests on my seats.....To travel at the speed of light, one must first become light.....0 -

Flippin' 'eck - she says politely.................
What a dreadful service, you should name them and shame them! Glad I don't live in your area - but its not that great here, I live a ten minute drive from work, when the schools are back, it takes me more like half an hour. If I wanted to take public transport, then you are looking at three buses and about an hour to an hour and a half - to cover a ten minute drive, and that doesn't include the time to walk to the appropriate bus stops........... and people wonder why we use cars so much... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Genie
