Well I was driving home in my new M class tonight & some old biddy in a crappy Focus was dawdling alone & wouldn't let me overtake her:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I can't drive fast anymore, especially around bends or turns, as Jim doesn't like it, he could slip and hurt himself, even though he is wearing a harness. Plus Goldie is lying in the back recovering from the usual hangover. Its not easy for me MrsE - have pity. :o

Oh that is so horrible! Who 'designs' these things? I use the term 'design' loosely....

A group of people when they are having drinks with work colleagues on a team bonding experience.

Now you know why those team events companies send employees on are not only annoying but can blight others lives.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

Forget the slip roads for a minute, but aren't commercial vans limited to 60 rather than 70 on A roads and motorways? I heard that recently and wondered if it was true or not. I'm talking about say, Transit size vans.
Some vans are definitely limited because I've seen BG and Virgin Media vans which explicitly say on the outside what the maximum speed they can go at.

    The law is here:
    http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roadsafety/speedmanagement/vanspeedlimits

However I've been followed in the third lane of the motorway by some van drivers who haven't quite worked out what a stopping distance is. Now I shouldn't touch my brakes when the lane is clear in front of me but sometimes I can't help it......

PEOPLE WHO DON'T GO WHEN THE LIGHT TURNS GREEN!
I'm sure if you add all those seconds up....
There's even an amber to alert you that you have to go!
    Do I sound angry?
No, they're not the worst but they haven't been mentioned yet.
Another one is the people who park at the pumps but aren't getting any fuel, because the parking spaces are round the corner and they might have to walk further or reverse or something.
There are plenty of things in this thread that wind me up but I'd better not go into it all. But how many of the problems would be solved if drivers just, you know, PAY ATTENTION!

    YES!!!

They sit there at the lights, with both the car and brain in neutral. They can see the traffic stopping at the other junctions, and can see the traffic light changing to amber so they know its their turn next. But does that prompt them to do anything - NO!!

The light goes green. By the time they have dithered around - noticing the light has changed, found first, stalled, restarted and pulled away, about 2 cars get through the lights before they go red again.

I drive an auto - so sit at the lights with my foot on the brake (blinding the driver behind....) but am able to pull away quickly :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Your avatar is weird........... when I blink she has just two eyes and one mouth.. When I don't blink, I think I'm pi55ed.........

You had better hope it was not an RS/ST focus or it would have whooped your M class's butt. Come to think of it a 2.0 petrol would leave the 300, 350 M class slugs for dead. What do you expect its not built for speed only the AMG version was the others are not built for speed thats why they are pretty slow.

After spending years driving a truck up & down the M'ways I'll tell you with some certainty who the worst drivers are :)

Forget school mums, taxi drivers, white van man or anyone else.... it is, without doubt, the sales rep or anyone who uses a company car as part of their work!

I would place a bet that every accident on the motorways will at some point involve one of these "business" users.

Got to admit was driving my brothers Z car and met one on the stepps bypass just outside glasgow, jeez they are quick it was a green 09 should add my brother said it was an 05 plate but anyway it could shift. The 350 Z just could not keep up with it, its in gear acceleration was pretty rapid.
