House clothes?

  • in summer i tend to not bother getting changed but i do take my bra off, this can lead to embarrasing incidents like when our friends popped over unexpectly and i had to stay glued to the sofa with my arms folded as t shirt was a bit thin and i do have a large chest lol.

in winter i put on my pjs, slipper socks and we each have a blanket to wrap round us for comfort - also money saving cos you dont need to keep the room as warm

i can't bear to wear anything in bed so off come the pjs

i also have horrid clothes that i wear when i slob out/ clean at the weekend - old shorts and jogging bottoms and t shirts ive spilled bleach on

jeans are sooo uncomfortable yet so popular you cannot relax in them!

i cant understand people who go out in their slippers and nightwear. I would hate to wear them out, then in bed would feel they werent clean. You would pick up all sort of rubbish on the soles of your slippers too then bring it into the house!

I love it when the bed clothes are changed i often spray them that night too lightly with some perfume. Wouldnt it be lovely to have a fresh bed every night!:D

Does that mean you sleep in your bra - isn't that uncomfortable?

Feels too weird to go without :S

And I haven't worn jeans in 5yrs!! And counting - they are so not flattering or comfy!!

I have to be comfy when I am round the house, and I am always cleaning so I would hate to ruin my decent clothes.
I tend to wear my 'nice' clothes as little as possible though, cause when I like something a lot I worry about it being wrecked or over worn, so it ends up being barely worn at all, which defeats the object still! I might as well just wear it and enjoy it.......but I dont.:D:rotfl:

    :o Snap!

Not just clothes either, shoes, undies, make up, perfume, allsorts......

Wasteful really, I have some lovely matched sets of expensive undies that have been barely worn and now no longer fit.... :(
  • As soon as I get in the clothes come of and the jogging bottoms and a vest top or PJs come on! Straight away! Feel sorry for my hubby. I never wear a bra inside now, (unless we have people round!) can't wait to get it off! :o

I wear jogging bottoms and some cheapo Primark t-shirts, slippers and maybe a hoody if it's cold.

I don't wear any underwear, so it can sometimes be embarassing when someone comes to the door, like today when I had to sign for something and I was there for ages and it was probably really obvious that I wasn't wearing a bra.
Me too. Nothing worse than being asked to sign for/take goods for a neighbour when I look a mess.

Think I'm the opposite, I have an entire room of clothes, and love the fact they are all dresses and skirts, the more girly the better. I think because i love to feel good about myself with what I wear, I make an effort to wear the nice things which make me feel good, even if it's just round the house or to Tesco or whatever..

This is how I would like to feel! I must make an effort to wear nice things at home... But it's just too much trouble when I'm tired from work!
    Cogito, ergo sum.
  • I guess I get around it by making sure I don't really have any scruffy clothes, so I don't have any choice.. I mean, I have PJs, but thats about it on the lounging around clothes, and I don't really like wearing them except in bed, as I've said before, so I guess that's how I manage.
