XL, definitely agree - you won't get any backlash here :D I think we all believe in doing what's best for mum and baby and support all decisions as long as you make them yourself - we just don't like bullies ;)

i think thats a bit unfair to say? if your body wasnt ready to have another so soon then you wouldnt fall pregnant. the female body is designed to have a baby a year and im sorry but as for saying that you wont give your baby the best chance then thats crap. i have got my first 2 and last 2 close together. there is 13 months between them and they are all perfectly fine and healthy. they are all love get lots of attention and are very well cared for.

I don't think it's unfair - it's what I think at the end of the day. Not gospel or medical oppinion. And everyone is as entitled to think what they want. But if my oppinions are viewed as crap then I shan't bother giving them.

    hi girls..

just popping in before a visitor arrives...

just found out my best friend miscarried this morning... she was approx 9 weeks and had been trying for 2years almost... and it's her hubby's 30th bday 2mo...
to top it off her hubby has just been found to have a mass behind an eye that needs to be seen by a specialist... they're going through the wars :-(

feel so upset for them... and kind of guilty that i got pregnant first time and had no probs etc... prob not helped by post-birth hormones etc...

    thats terrible fitz.

    ((((hugs)))) to your friend
but please do not feel guilty one little bit.

Weelz wasn't asking for anyone's opinion - she was sharing her news and, possibly at a push, asking for support.. which is what this thread is, is it not?

And I gave her advice relating to looking after herself and said my husband would have sectioned me etc etc etc and she then explained why they had decided to have them this close and then I expressed my views on having children that close - it's an open forum at the end of the day. I expressed a view on something I happen to feel very strongly about and wasn't abusive or rude - I do firmly believe having children too closely together puts too much demand on the mums body to provide for itself and a baby - as I said - that's MY view, not medical nor universal belief.

Yes I could post links ot medical reports backing it up (and I have links to several) but I haven't because I posted it as a personal view, nothing more.

Well i have made a big decision today im not going to continue with the breast feeding.

If it's right for you then it's right. We're all doing what we think is best for our particular kids in our particular circumstances and that's enough justification for whatever decisions we make.

I hope your boobs feel better soon, if you see what I mean :)

The monster's still miserable with the cold germs - she can't stay asleep and won't be put down :(
