hi girls..
just popping in before a visitor arrives...
just found out my best friend miscarried this morning... she was approx 9 weeks and had been trying for 2years almost... and it's her hubby's 30th bday 2mo...
to top it off her hubby has just been found to have a mass behind an eye that needs to be seen by a specialist... they're going through the wars :-(
feel so upset for them... and kind of guilty that i got pregnant first time and had no probs etc... prob not helped by post-birth hormones etc...:male:Alfie Sidney born 29th August 2009:male:0 -
I slowly stopped posting as much because i couldn't join in/help/advise with breastfeeding problems etc and now Elliot is a bit older, i feel as if im getting in the way of newer moms needing help/don't want to fill the pages with random chat/rubbish!
i love the random chat == i also like to know what im in for in a few years with my little one, so please join in.searching_me wrote: »carla ... you get my message on fb x

Afternoon ladies hope we are all doing well.
Well i have made a big decision today im not going to continue with the breast feeding. Bubs just doesnt want to know and keeps turning away from the breast instead of trying to latch and the expressing has made my boobs so sore i can barely move for the pain. He is happy and content and putting on weight so i see no reason to continue stressing us both out over it. I do feel a little sad about it but i think its best for both of us in the long run.
**runs and hides from the backlash she will get** ;-) x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -

no backlash xmas -- i was the same. it was getting to the point whre i was dreading him wakening for a feed, and it was OH who made me realsie that that wasnt good for me (chance of PND) or little one, as i wouldnt be bonding with him like i should. So, for me, breast wasnt best, and now my little toerag is doing grand. putting on between 5-9 oz per week adn we are both happy chappies!!
I believe it truly is whatever feels best for mother and baby.
xxCarla-Farla!!

*hugs* Feelie. Do you think it'd be worth going back to see another doctor, or are you wanting to leave it a while? A year after finishing b/f seems like a long time
Prescriptions collected - I hadn't noticed before but one of the milk powders (the one to help with the reflux) is down on the form as three tins at a time. It's taken us over eight weeks to get two thirds of the way down one tin (the one we left the hospital with)! Lucky the expiry dates on the three I got today are in 2014! Got my tablets too so feel a bit better about the milk situation now too
Rhys and Daddy are fast asleep, so I'm making the most of having a hot cuppa and *geek alert* colour coding all our appointments on my Outlook calendar. Just had a couple of friends txt me with invites to go out or for them to come to me next week so calendar filling up for next week. My parents go away for a week from tomorrow so they won't be dropping in on me at random but my sister is coming over for the day on Wednesday - think we're going into town and out for lunch0 -
