sorry, 4 years is good, the 8 years between DS1 and Amber is whats not good... or well, just 3 with 4 years between each is not so good. I'm struggling today, need my weekend!!
lego is evil stuff really, you with get the kids choking on it or you find a bit with your foot at 1am when you go to quietly put clothes away....Susan, do you have any plans for socialising Alice? (sorry that sounds a bit like she's a dog) have you looked into the rules of home schooling? I've always wondered how 'they' know your doing enough/it properly etc (not that I think you wouldn't/couldn't!)
Currently, as long as you haven't been in the educational system already, there are no checks on you unless the LEA has reason to think you might not be providing your child with an education. (This is why figures on the number of home educated children are only estimates.) They can ask you to provide evidence that you are educating your child appropriately for their age/ability and in the event that you didn't satisfy them, you could be obliged to send them to school. There has been (yet another) inquiry into home education recently and the report on it apparently suggests things like inspectors being allowed to enter your home at will and question your children on their own if you are home educating. I haven't studied the report yet but from what I've read it sounds like they're using the fact that some people who abuse their children pretend to be home educating as a reason for OTT interference. (I.e. if you are home educating that in and of itself creates suspiscion that you might be abusing your children.)
I haven't got them bookmarked or checked them recently but I think "School Is Not Compulsorary" and "Education Otherwise" provide information on current home education rules.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Pregnancy seemed to do wonders for my immune system and I have actually managed over a year without a cold or even the sniffles. Probably shot myself right in the foot for thinking that now.. I don't want a cold!
Right, I'm off to the most germy place ever - the doctors! Just picking up prescriptions then going to the pharmacy to collect them. Might just stop by the shop for a magazine too
