Annoyed with the In-Laws today. MIL spent all our vist yesterday trying to feed archie jaffa cakes and then basically overruled me when I suggested a) he shouldn't be wondering round her house with half eaten jaffa cakes in his hand and b) six jaffa cakes is plenty (and at least three too many imo). She just can't see that a "little" bit of discipline is ok.

Then Fil in conversation said he cant wait till he gets a female great grand child - so whats wrong with little boys then!!!!

  • My Mum's husband used an air rifle to get rid of the squirrels that were living in their loft and destroying all the insulation... My neighbours are using one to shoot at various bits of detritous littering their garden...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

Your all talking about gaps between pregnancies and I was thinking earlier that 4-5 years is so not a good gap. One at school, one at nursery and a newborn is not a good combo
About four years is what we're hoping for (depending on when Alice stops BF). We're planning to home-educate though which does eliminate the school/nursery runs but not the lego.

Yes it is her Sami, I didn't think she'd changed much but looking back she has loads lol... The very swish dress was my first ever eBay purchase :D £7.50 and £2.50 postage... My Nana asked me where I got it from, when I said eBay she said 'Is that in Walsall?'

Gah, my tutors coming round after school and the house is a bomb site... Everytime I put Caitlyn down she either whinges or someone rings up! Haven't hoovered in about 3 weeks!
lol, remember life before ebay?
what is the tutor for? from your BF training?

I'm in the most un comfortable poistion, can't wait to get to mum's later and get my widgey pillow, how could I leave mine at MILs?!

sorry, 4 years is good, the 8 years between DS1 and Amber is whats not good... or well, just 3 with 4 years between each is not so good. I'm struggling today, need my weekend!!

lego is evil stuff really, you with get the kids choking on it or you find a bit with your foot at 1am when you go to quietly put clothes away....

    Those were dark days...

Yeah she's my breastfeeding tutor, We have to have supervision sessions to keep us all up to date, and help with any issues we might have...

Why not just take your boys and get into bed for sleepies and feeds ;)

.. I can see lots of good points about having babies close together. Money saving, as one grows out of something the other grows into it, they are about the same age and level so should play together and keep each other occupied, all your sleepless nights are done in a few years rather than over a longer period of time same with nappy changing days. No having to worry about an older child with lots of lego and a baby who can choke (like what I have just realised, DS1 got lego starwars stuff and how do I keep Amber away from it?!).

I was asking my mum as there's only 17months between me and my younger sister. Apparently Mum spent the first five months of her pregnancy with sis angry, very very angry that it'd happened (wasn't planned, can you tell? ;)) but then she came round to the idea and told me all the plus points as tia says :) She said if she'd put everything (cot, nappy bin, etc) away she might not have gotten them out again so in hindsight she's glad she had two close together :D

Did they eat the squirrel? :p cajun like the walkers crisps?

Susan, do you have any plans for socialising Alice? (sorry that sounds a bit like she's a dog :o) have you looked into the rules of home schooling? I've always wondered how 'they' know your doing enough/it properly etc (not that I think you wouldn't/couldn't!)

I'm eating dinner, btw :D Tuna pasta bake..

Have also spoken to the carpet people and we're on for Thursday morning. Sami, I think it would have been about £100 for that coir matting (110x200cm), but they've only charged me £45 due to saving on the carpet we're having the coir matting instead of, iyswim.

My parents called in with my Nan who brought long sleeve vests for Rhys - perfect :D
